This IS ALL Georgiev's fault, now......isn't it? We had it all planned......let Hank finish his career here and just slide Shesty in and get a cheap back upl from the stockpile. Georgiev screwed everything up.I would split him and Shesty for next year and move Georgiev.
Goalies are ****ing weird and you wanna make your move before their value goes down.
Shestyorkin isn't an unknown commodity. This IS ALL Georgiev's fault, now......isn't it? We had it all planned......let Hank finish his career here and just slide Shesty in and get a cheap back upl from the stockpile. Georgiev screwed everything up.
How anyone can move a somewhat KNOWN commodity for an unproven supposed commodity (I mean, can he even be called a commodity?) Is beyond me.
If I had one "stiffy" about Hank/his contract/and what this has turned into.....was I believed that this would happen. He "grabbed" what he could and it is conceivable that in the end it may have cost him a cup. Take 2 mil. less for same term.....maybe we spend it on a 2 mil upgrade over any center or goal scoring winger. We will never know for sure.In the first place, for 8 M AAV it should have only been a 6 year deal to prevent exactly this from happening. Hank got the extra years and extra money so as much as I'm dying for a miracle cup run with Hank at the helm next year, he has to be willing to get 20-30 starts if need be. That's the risk you run when you ask for a ton of years that go well into your twilight years and dont lower your money asks to accommodate them
This is NOT a pathetic vision. It is indeed a possibility. Regardless of what happens with HANK, jettisoning Georgiev would be the absolute WORST decision they can make. You dont try and pull a full house if you only have a pair. You go with what is a KNOWN, find out more with Shesty, and Hank is either here or not.I know it's an infantismal risk but I hate the idea of moving Georgiev and then Shestyorkin duds out. Just to avoid a one year problem.
I will believe that when I see it. He isn't facing NHL players. Call me a skeptic a half empty glass, negative Nancy......oh yeah, I am a Rangers, Mets, and Jets fan. Thank God I rid myself of the Knicks when the Ewing era ended. Otherwise, what a loser I would be.Shestyorkin isn't an unknown commodity.
He's 23 years old and he's ragdolled every league he's been in.

I don't think the thinking is PUSHING him into the sunset. Most probably want what's best for the tree team. And if that means Shesty gets some games for his needed progression, then that probably takes precedence. If I am Hank, as much as I wanna play.....I would understand. If I don't, then move on.I don’t see the rush in shipping Hank to the retirement home. He’s still playing well and it’s not like he’s the problem with this team at all. This defense is still a dumpster fire, and it’s not necessarily the players’ faults. I’m just not in a rush to subject Shesterkin to this kind of abuse
