We are so f'ing back boys.

Nothing like a win after not showing up for several games which undoubtedly will change how Lou is going forward.

Now I'm still in the camp of always wanting to win and just can't find it in myself to root for the team to lose, no judgement on those who want the tank, I just can't do it personally.

But I also understand with Lou, a win here or there could really change what happens between now and the deadline and I would like whatever moves are made to be for a better future.

I'd like to think we are capable of going without a total rebuild because I loathe that idea.

All together now . . .

Damn it Lou, trade Sorokin before he sneaks us into the playoffs!

Great job by Ilya

Romanov is rapidly becoming the best defenseman we have

Brock has hit so many posts lately

Staple is wrong here, and as he's paid to cover the NHL should know this because it happens frequently. Refs can call a major which can then be reviewed and changed to an appropriate minor penalty. Doesn't matter if it wasn't called at the time.

The best thing to come out of this *ahem win is Sorokin’s play. He’s been pretty damn good and consistent behind a bottom-tier team.

Yes. Pretty sure some of the posters here (not ALL OF THEM) know more about hockey than most of the sportswriters who cover the game.

@Satan'sIsland81 any thoughts on the team’s or perhaps the goalie’s play today? :sarcasm:
Team not so great, the goalie very good. Or in other words, doing what he is supposed to be doing as the fifth highest paid goalie in the league. If he had played that way in the previous two games we would probably be sitting on a 3 game winning streak. You don't get a medal for being a supposed top 5 goalie and having a good performance 2 out of every 5 games.

Incorrect. Here the refs did not even announce what the penalty was. They just said a major because they saw a player after the fact was hurt. Then they lowered it to a minor for a penalty that had never been called initially. When that play ended no penalty was called, there were no arms in the air or delayed calls. They just invented an entire situation to once again try to screw the Isles. How the NHL does not step in when their employees are not even following protocol or the rule book is insane.
