You can already see this being a 2-0 Isles win (with empty netter).

Staple is wrong here, and as he's paid to cover the NHL should know this because it happens frequently. Refs can call a major which can then be reviewed and changed to an appropriate minor penalty. Doesn't matter if it wasn't called at the time.
Team not so great, the goalie very good. Or in other words, doing what he is supposed to be doing as the fifth highest paid goalie in the league. If he had played that way in the previous two games we would probably be sitting on a 3 game winning streak. You don't get a medal for being a supposed top 5 goalie and having a good performance 2 out of every 5 games.@Satan'sIsland81 any thoughts on the team’s or perhaps the goalie’s play today?![]()
Incorrect. Here the refs did not even announce what the penalty was. They just said a major because they saw a player after the fact was hurt. Then they lowered it to a minor for a penalty that had never been called initially. When that play ended no penalty was called, there were no arms in the air or delayed calls. They just invented an entire situation to once again try to screw the Isles. How the NHL does not step in when their employees are not even following protocol or the rule book is insane.Staple is wrong here, and as he's paid to cover the NHL should know this because it happens frequently.
