LOL they cut away from his comment when he paused
This is what they cut away from at the 0:27 mark

He was a big part of the leadership group.
This team is playing as when it was known Zucc was getting traded.... everyone moping about
They're just showing up for the paycheck at this point
I'd say post-lockout (2005-06) the worst season was probably 2009-10 because the talent on that team was pretty bad, but most of 2012-13 and the entire 2020-21 were bad like a two way tie for second.Done with the team until the new year. It needs to happen - I’m at the “actively rooting for our guys to get injured” point of my grieving and it’s not healthy.
I will say - 2020-21 was the worst season I can remember in a long time for this team. While we might not be there in absolute terms this year (our GM hasn’t been fired, yet) I think in relative terms it’s just as bad.
We legit had a one year window. It’s something only this franchise could cook up.
Must be nice to get paid to basically be a window dressing.Did anyone else hear Joe talking about how GG was frustrated that the first unit soaks up all of that time? Like bro, you are the coach. You control ice time. That’s what you do.
Boston signing Mitch Miller fiasco. What happened in Boston?
Those idiots signed that Mitchell Miller scumbag on a Friday at 5pm hoping to avoid the backlash. Cut him before the weekend ended because of the shit storm it stirred up.What happened in Boston?
Did he bite his tongue in critiquing players or coaching?
The fact people focus on laf is part of why he is struggling. Laffy is like the 8th best player on this team yet he carries the burdens of the struggle which is part of the entire issue here. No accountability at the top, slot it to the middle peepsFocusing on Laf is just stupid at this point. Even if he looks like shit, we have way bigger problems right now. Let's focus on Laf when the rest of team is doing fine, ok?
They can't do what needs to be done.We will never know unless they do what needs to be done. Can it really get any worse? They have lost to all the shit teams and have blown multiple goal leads more than a few times this year.
I know trotz is the one everyone is clamouring for but I'm all reality what are the alternative choices?
Yeah you're right. But he is just such a good blend of analytical knowledge and the feel of the game. He doesn't let either cloud his judgment and makes great analysis while also knowing sometimes you just gotta get out there and f***ing bang. If they reprimand him for his comments tonight I will be very upset. Some guys don't want the coaching lifestyle. Vally has a great gig and he is able to pursue his other projects as well.
I know some once great players don't make good coaches but I would like to see Messier get a shot. It really can't get any worse.

Yes I do, actually it definitely would. He brings absolutely nothing to the table. Jimmy Vesey gets more ice time because Jimmy Vesey is capable of actually making hockey plays at an NHL level more often than once in a blue moon. Do you really think forcing Kakko and Lafreniere out for a couple more shifts is really going to make a big difference? It's comical. The guy carries the puck into the zone, pulls up and then gets attacked by the boards and loses the puck with no one within a few feet of him.
I don't think they're comparable tbh comparing QuennevilleThose idiots signed that Mitchell Miller scumbag on a Friday at 5pm hoping to avoid the backlash. Cut him before the weekend ended because of the shit storm it stirred up.

The later two were shortened seasons so not as painful.
Most of the 2013-14 season was trash too, people forget that. They were bad that year up until the New Year and once they got Carcillo, Dominic Moore shook of the rust, and the Del Z for Klein trade happened, they slowly started shifting. But that team had dude performances even into April.
Unfortunately cancel culture is real & people just need to be outraged at something. I'm not saying I disagree with you, but until he does a media approved redemption tour, JQ is still too radioactive.I don't think they're comparable tbh comparing Quenneville
One is the perpetrator, the other, as well as the entire org, handled the situation poorly
It did happen but not completely. They did turn over the roster and get rid of McDonagh, JT Miller, Nash, Stepan, Zucc, Hayes, among others. A coach is the easiest thing to change especially when its more than warranted. This team is lifeless. They can't do what needs to be done.
What needs to be done is Dolan sells the team and the new owner gets rid of the jar with with Sather's brain in it, hooked up to the machine that gives Drury instructions in Morse code.
Call it a tinfoil hat theory but I believe the intention to actually rebuild and make sweeping change was legitimate when the letter went out.
It lasted through 18-19, Dolan saw session ticket renewals, and that was that. They immediately were buyers that summer and got Panarin and Trouba.
Not a single significant roster piece was unloaded after Hayes. Other than getting lucky in the lottery (we had a winning record the year we got Laf) nothing changed.
Then the guy who penned the letter and his president were suddenly gone.
The rebuild never happened. Dolan squashed it like he's a done a dozen times with the Knicks.
At least they would win. This team is torturous to watch and they lose.Trotz would be torturous to watch, I don’t want him at all lmao
I'm not "connected" by any means but I did know some people who worked in or were affiliated with the Rangers from 2006-2011. This does not include bar owners I got to know when I was a cover band musician in my early 20s from around 2003-2007.I think the fact he hasn't gotten a shot somewhere by now may be a warning, from what i heard he was unwilling to take an AHL job or an assistant job, something you'd assume he'd have to do (i know, St.Louis).
I heard he doesn't want to take an AHL job but the guys knows hockey and is a winner. Greatest captain of all time. Give him the interim job and see how it goes. This team is going nowhere this year if changes aren't made immediately.I think the fact he hasn't gotten a shot somewhere by now may be a warning, from what i heard he was unwilling to take an AHL job or an assistant job, something you'd assume he'd have to do (i know, St.Louis).
