Tippett is going to have a lot of bidders. No way I see him staying in Phoenix.

"Looking for stability":biglaugh::biglaugh:

Looking for a big paycheck from a legit contender.

People want to resolve the lack of puck possession game by hiring AV/Tippett?

lol.

Stability in the number of 0's after the big number in front

We can all use that kind of stability.
Maloney is foolish, just let the guy do his interviews instead of dragging out the whole process.
Its obvious the guy wants to know what he is worth on the market.
And there's no salary cap for him.

Would you guys be happy if the rangers hired AV?

Rangers should(but won't) hire Dallas Eakins. They need a fresh approach and Eakins has putt in his time and deserves a shot.

In so far as AV is concerned, he has had (along with Blysma, another highly overrated coach) the best talent in the league for 5+ years and he still somehow managed to lose his last 10 of 11 playoff games in the last 3 years. No thanks to either AV or Blysma but I wouldn't be surprised if either one ends up as our coach!

The dreaded Mess/ Gretzky solution seems to b the favored one at the moment by the brass - yet this is far from decided. Lot of differing opinions here. God...it is actually true. :help:
One of these guys personal luggage seems to be a problem that could be a dealbreaker though.

True, it sounds crazy yes, but heard this 2 days ago from a pretty good source. Again Sounds a bit out there but thought I might pass it on nonetheless as this source has good connections within NYR organisation.

Ruff: bad, long time coach but no result.
AV, Tippett: "defensive", no puck POSSESSION.
Eakins: Gone.
Messier: Bad. Fake job.
Bylsma: Overrated, only won once with all star team.
Maurice: bad. No excuse needed.

No matter who is hired, this board will **** itself

Tippet has been quoted saying that puck possession is a key cog to an elite defensive system. He uses puck possession as a way of 'defending' in that when his time has the puck, the other team can't score.

Seems kinda odd since the Coyotes haven't exactly been world-beaters in most advanced stats involving puck possession. Also seems odd as Dallas was pretty average too. I think every coach wants to preach out puck possession hockey.
