How Draft Positions Work:

* Starting with the 20th ranked team, teams will select what position they wish to draft at (1-20). The draft will be a snake styled draft as it was last year. At this point I do not believe their will be another prospect draft this offseason

* Positions will start being selected at some point during the offseason.

* Ranking 1-12 will be determined by the playoff results.

My 6 are so hard...

If I traded a prospect, then picked one up, can I keep that prospect?

Keepers (at first glance):

Loui Eriksson
James Neal
Jason Spezza
James van Riemsdyk
Ryan Suter
Kari Lehtonen

A tough call! This would leave out Marc Staal, Dmitri Kulikov, Sam Gagner, Andy McDonald, and a few other names I'd rather keep around. Hence the risk of the keeper league though, I guess!

Prospects

Brayden Schenn
Brendan Smith
Jordan Schroeder
Scott Glennie

Crap, I have to re-do my roster page and figure out who I actually drafted in the prospect draft.

Man I made a ton of pick ups ad drops through the season.

Schenn wasn't selected in the Prospect Draft. Not sure about the others.

:ducks at first glance:
Keepers:
Evgeni Malkin
Mike Ribeiro
Erik Johnson
Matt Carle
Henrik Lundqvist
Niklas Backstrom, maybe

My team is definitely lacking in star power -- guess it was built like the Preds. A few sexy names, but overall just a bunch of hard workers pitching in. And Bobby Butler.

Prospects:
David Rundblad
Rocco Grimaldi
Maxim Kitsyn
Jakob Silfverberg

TBA...

Jesus. This is difficult. OEL should be a no brainer here, but having Rask, and the way Parenteau played is hard to ignore.

Prospects

Brett Connolly
Emerson Etem
Niklas Jensen
Beau Bennett

How is free agency going to work? Will the players that are FAs (for real) still be ours and their cap hit will be determined by the contract they sign in real life? Or will we be the ones negotiating...?
