For him to testify the court would have to subponea him. He doesn't seem like the type of guy to show up. Still, what's Stone going to do? Beat a confession out of him? Make a citizens arrest? His best bet is convincing Box this is a person of interest or he's pretty much screwed. Either way, that was a pretty horrible scene in a good show. What Stone really needs is this guy in jail - maybe he has an outstanding warrant.

I'm almost positive he called someone who told him he has a warrant before he went into the bodega.

So the guy that they brought in to take photos of the crime scene said he ended up finding something, and it had blood on it.

Not 100% sure if he found it out back or not, but if it was found out back, and the blood turned out to be Andrea's. Then it could be shown that the killer most likely left through the back door, something that Nas did not do.

Yeah, he did find it out back. He also made the comment that it could be squirrel blood for all he knows, but I think you're right. I think it'll be Andrea's blood, which would certainly help clear Nas, and tie in all the stuff with the backdoor.

Following that, I wonder if we may find blood on the cat's fur as well? If that occurs, then it's also likely and pointing to the killer as someone Andrea and the cat knew, perhaps?

Yeah, he did have an outstanding warrant. And while I agree that it was kinda stupid for Stone to follow the guy, it does makes sense that he went to see if the guy was who the other guy said he was. Stone saw him and can identify him, and it also allows Box to re-question the first guy about why he lied, and help to see if the investigation leads elsewhere away from Nas.

I agree that maybe Nas was overlooked by the real killer. Maybe he passed out in the kitchen, and the killer went upstairs, did the job, came back down and saw Nas and figured it was better to let him take the rap, or just let him stay passed out and sneak out.

Assuming that Nas didn't kill her, I doubt that the killer wasn't aware of him being there. If (s)he went through the back gate, (s)he should have known about her being there. Meaning that the guy lured around and waited until she came back. I'm pretty sure that the killer tried to pin it on Nas all along, and not just come up with that suiting emergency plan once he saw him.

It's possible that the real killer premeditated killing Andrea(which would make the killer as someone who knew her).

But, I don't think that pinning it on Nas was part of the premeditation. I think that Nas being there was just a coincidence, and a fortunate one which allowed the police to focus on him instead of the one that actually killed her.

I meant the killer came up with it once he saw them together. Not sure if the killer premeditated it or not though - at least when considering that Duane came back into the game. Anyways, can't imagine someone just coming in through the back door without even knowing if she's there.

I see what you mean now. Yeah, I think the killer saw Nas passed out and kept on with their plan, but decided to leave Nas alive in order to pin it on him. And yeah, the killer probably had to have been waiting for Andrea to come home, which means that I suspect we'll see Box find them on those cameras outside or down the street.

btw: Didn't Nas just get + swallow three little bags of coke, while they waited for the fourth to come out? So did that little kid take it and why isn't Nas saying anything?

Yeah, I think there was one that didn't come out. He swallowed 4 he said, iirc.

I suspect that he'll have to get medical assistance, and then get charged for trying to smuggle drugs, which will impact his court case for the murder trial.

After initially detaining Nas it seemed like Box was being the subtle beast that Stone described him as, and trying to get a confession or anything incriminating out of Nas.

But last night when the DA was talking about how to position the footage of Andrea getting into the cab as premeditation, I didn't think Box was really on board based on his reaction.

Subtle beast also fits in nicely with the Call of the Wild narrative. Speaking of:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Call_of_the_Wild
[spoil]The Call of the Wild is a short adventure novel by Jack London published in 1903 and set in Yukon, Canada during the 1890s Klondike Gold Rush, when strong sled dogs were in high demand. The central character of the novel is a dog named Buck. The story opens at a ranch in Santa Clara Valley, California, when Buck is stolen from his home and sold into service as a sled dog in Alaska. He becomes progressively feral in the harsh environment, where he is forced to fight to survive and dominate other dogs. By the end, he sheds the veneer of civilization, and relies on primordial instinct and learned experience to emerge as a leader in the wild.[/spoil]

Interesting. I think I have a theory on how this will end.

Stone puts together a good enough case but the jury is won over by Naz's newfound prison look/personality that he had to adapt to survive in prison. There's already been a ton of things on perception of the criminal.

That ending still kinda fits with the show exposing problems with the prison system. He had to change to survive in prison and that ruined his chances in the trial.

He said, yes. But we just saw three. So were it four indeed?

Good call, something like that would make a lot of sense. Just not seeing a happy ending, due to what we've heard the series is about.

How do you suppose he tested positive for amphetamines (?) while she didn't?
I thought he admitted to Adderall. Isn't that what caused it or am I not understanding correctly?

You're right. It was Adderall. Some students use it to help them stay awake to study.

He said, yes. But we just saw three. So were it four indeed?

It's still stuck in him. If he doesn't get it out soon, it'll start to leak and he'll OD.

Pretty sure he only swallowed three, and the fourth is in his imagination. He's going to freak out about the possibility of ODing.

Don't know why people are surprised about Naz's change of demeanour. He's a naive kid who thinks that the boxer(his name escapes me) wants to protect him and that he's untouchable now. You can see him test the theory out by ****ing around with the TV. What he didn't realize is that he'd have to do something in return. I think you see his attitude change back to a more reserved/paranoid one. I think he'll try to stay away from the boxer to no avail...

Pretty sure he's not stupid and knew there would be strings attached. Which is why he didn't join up with Omar right away. He did it when he had no choice.
