OT - NO POLITICS Hazy Days of Winter.

Was talking to pops last night and he was excited to tell me all about his new cell phone. I had to go on Amazon and buy him a new case, so i did. Then he told me about how the techs in store that helped him transfer all of his data to the new phone told him his contacts would all save. All of his pictures and apps and contacts, literally everything he said was still there…everything other than MY phone number

“the one person that calls me the most, and the one i call the most, and it’s the only f***in thing that i lose!”

We laughed about it, and then today it hit me super hard and I’ve been struggling much of the day. I am my dad’s person. I love that, and I knew it anyway, but to hear him sort of come to that conclusion himself has stuck with me. The pressure has been building on me day by day since he was injured nearly 30 years ago. I am juuuust barely holding myself together these days, and I’m not sure what more I have left in the tank

It’s a very bittersweet feeling that I wasn’t ready for today.
To have such a relationship is a beautiful thing. Cherish every second, as you already know.

Cheesey grits purdy tasty

I want to get the after market light kit that will light up the wings and eyes but that will have to wait for a bit until they come down in price.
I have had the light kit for the ghostbusters car for over a year. Never got around to adding it on because it requires a good amount of disassembly and the instructions are awful. Something to look into for your build before you buy.

That's what it looks like for this as well. I think I'll pass

This morning when I took Hattie outside, she somehow found a dead bird to munch on. When she first picked it up I thought it was a leaf, told her to drop it. She didn't, so I reached for it thinking I was grabbing the stem of a leaf only to realize it was a bird leg :help:

So that was fun. Then tonight my neighbor and I smelled gas in the garage. Had the gas company come out just in case, rather be safe than be the people in the news who ended up two states over when the house went kablooey. They came out quickly, no leaks. Yay.

I am so ready for bed.

I'm curious to know whether it was the Blackhawk, the airliner, or the control tower who f***ed up

Edit: ABC News reading a copy of the control tower transcript and it sounds like it was the helicopter's responsibility to stay clear of the plane's path, so either it was unclear direction or they ignored it
