Dude lost the puck and felt the stick between his legs so he squeezed and fell.
Earlier Mackinnon threw his head back. Must have really hurt his visor.

Visor or not, it's still a high stick.

Tell me you've never played hockey without telling me you've never played hockey.

Even if he had a full cage on, it would still be a high stick... Or do high sticking penalties not exist in youth hockey... because... cages?? :sarcasm:

Also a pretty natural reaction to flinch when a stick is rapidly approaching your face....

If Hawks are going to have to kill 3 penalties a period(3 pks in 1st) gonna be a long night as they tire out and get the ice tilted so much against them.

I've also never understood why people on this site make a big deal about guys whipping their heads back on a high stick or near high stick. It is a natural reaction to do that when you see something that looks like it is going to hit you in the face.

100%.
82 game season. Don't need to be this dickish this early.

Don't worry. I probably won't still be posting halfway through it. Haha. Gotta get it in now.

Fair enough, though. I'll tone it down. ;)

LOL.
Tell me you're under 40 without telling me you're under 40.
Hockey players over 40 don't throw their heads back.
That's a younger generation thing.

By the way, there needs to be contact for a penalty.

Seems about right.
