Nonetheless. Kane was close to the blue line and along the boards with ops closing in, who can blame Seth Jones for retreating when he is the last man back in that situation? But then again it would involve defensive hockey. Something Kane is unfamiliar with... he should STFU and play hockey.

Better yet, instead of skating the puck far away from the goal, Kane should pass the puck back closer to the net, since the PK chose to have two men pressuring up high, leaving it 3-on-2 down below.

If Jones stayed inside the blue line it could easily have resulted in an odd-man rush the other away (which was happening all night on Hawks PP). Going to the point with 2 forecheckers closing in was a very risky play. There was another Hawk close by going to the net but Kane ignored him.

Maybe Kane's reaction is a sign that he is already fed up and will drop his NMC.

Isn't that exactly what Kane did? Seth isn't exactly a rookie learning the ropes. I'm sure he didn't appreciate Kane's criticism for all to hear.

Can you blame him for being fed up? This team is garbage and gonna be garbage for many years, odds are this rebuilding plan is not gonna pan out with clueless people at the helm. Seth Jones is a big reason why this team could not succeed in the future as his contract is horrendous, Kane is the only bright light on this team, literally, rest of this team is a litter box filled with shit.

It's a moment in a game that happens plenty. Kane, Toews, ans sharp were known early on to cuss each other out when not passing to each other when open
