Why in the world did we have to add to 4 to get Byram Jesus Christ

KD's too green for this

I like the player but we overpaid by like 30% in value holy shit

I loved Byram in his draft. Have no issue with this move if more is to come. All of you who have been crying left and right over some of us saying moves will be made, you can now jump off the bandwagon...but this was the cost to land a player that YOUR HERO GM obviously wanted. And despite the fact that KD sleeps in Knies pjs, he clearly feels that what Byram can do right now and the future will help the other young dmen and take pressure off them which Reid or Carels simply wouldnt be able to do for maybe 3-4 years.
KD wasn't our hero, he was doing well up until making a move that you guys wanted him to make. Now he looks bad, because he made a big move and it cost a lot.

if byram was really the answer all along, then godspeed. hopefully we aren't done seriously talking about this team come january, because if they aren't in the hunt down the back half morale is going to be very low.

Oh if he asked you to drink a glass of koolaide some of you would do so without hesitation...it was spooky how he could do no wrong because some of you thought you knew what the plan was and the rest of us were so wrong.

If the scouts don’t view anybody outside of McKenna and Stenberg as being difference makers, is it defensible?

I’m willing to bet that’s exactly how the front office views this draft.
It is certainly how I view the draft.

I watched Kitchener’s run in the OHL playoffs, and when they played Reid, my god did he blow chunks.

Verhoeff, we know he’s a big nothing burger. Carels, oh he likes to hit? So what?

The only defenseman I liked was Smits but he wasn’t in the 4th overall range. So moving the puck never bothered me.
