"X game and Y game were awful back in January. The Kings really threw away those points!" Who honestly cares? What's the point on dwelling on those games when they aren't ever gonna be changed? Kings are getting better and better at the right time. 10-5-1 is exactly what they need right now. The only thing worth focusing on is the next game and the Kings played a great game the last time they played the Avs. I like their chances.

Plus the Florida game, Philly at home, etc. 3-8-2 on the road against the East. 8 of 26 possible points. That leaves 28-13-11 against the rest of the league. That's 67 points in 52 games, which is 106 in 82.
3 games left against Vancouver. 3 games left on the road against the Devils, Islanders, and Rangers, and all 3 beat the Kings at home this year. 2 games left against Edmonton, and 1 against Arizona. It's all there for the Kings to take it.

I thought we had four left, but it's only three. Kings need to win all three as they're tied at 65 GP.

Context. They control their destiny, but there's a reason they're sitting on the outside right now. Most of it because they haven't gotten enough points in certain games.
They played well enough to get the win, which is all that matters. They couldn't win a faceoff though. Quick and the 70's carried the day too. Great might be a strong word.

The Kings played a solid 60. They forgot you had to play another 5 min. One of the worst ot's in a while. They it got past the blueline once in OT, only to turn it over. The very first shift, RR passes it to Gabby and it explodes off his stick. Then after turning right over again, Carter finally gets it but instead of just skating a few feet to make a simpler pass he just wings into the middle , Toffoli cant handle it, game over.

I'm getting tired of being the better team and going home with a loss. Happens too many times this season.
Also annoyed to read about ''the fact'' the Kings need to win all 3 games vs. Vancouver. Of course that are important games but the Kings are right behind teams like Calgary and Winnipeg as well. 17 games left to play = 34 points but NO, I must read about these 3 games vs. Vancouver constantly...

Whats wrong with talking about the only way to make the playoffs that we control? All the team in the race keep winning, so even if we win every game except those 3 against Vancouver we could still miss the playoffs.

If the Kings win every game except the ones vs Vancouver, they will make the playoffs, simple as that.
There are still 34 points out there to play for, a lot is possible. You are right behind Calgary and the Jets.
I can also easily see the Kings winning 2 games vs. Vancouver and still missing the playoffs. Lets face it, Kings wont win all 3 games. If you win 2, you make a good step but its just a step.
