Have we lost every game when the other team played last night?

They deserved to ****ing lose after that atrocious OT. Absolutely awful passing and puck control.

I agree there was effort, but there were a bunch of boneheaded plays as well.

Got a point that was dearly needed.

Lots of games left vs the Pacific. Good effort, Need to score is what Sutter will say.

Sutter is going to continue getting burned putting Greene in situations like that.

And this won't cause any changes.

Calgary and LA have the same record over the last ten. Vancouver has one less win. Sharks are under .500. Kings gotta win at least three of their remaining games against Vancouver.

Still 109 possible points. It won't take that many to make the playoffs, so they have a little wiggle room. Not that much, but they still control their destiny. 1 point against an eastern team is better than 0.

Disappointing result, but the Kings will win many games with that effort. Not even mad. Great game.

Exactly. We play like that we will win most nights, not just some. Our record over the last stretch is fine. And if you would have told me we were playing Montreal and Pittsburgh and you offered me 3 out of 4 points, I would have said 'ok' and run with it. I think the way we lost obviously hurts but big picture we're still picking up points at a necessary percentage.

Totally agree, that was awful--but it starts with Sutter. He can't play regular d-pairings out there, ESPECIALLY against a team like the pens. Mayyyybe the Blues or something, but going with Kopitar-Gaborik-Doughty and ****ing REGEHR is asking for extra coverage and pressure. Then rolling Greene out there next...ugh. You need good two-way guys out there at worst. Greene didn't make THE mistake but it's easy to cheat when you know there's an anchor out there.

We're just awful at 4v4 and SO--of course, there are neither in the playoffs which is why we beast, but those might actively keep us from the playoffs this year.

It's not a loss in OT to Pittsburgh that has them where they are. It's losses to Buffalo in regulation, Edmonton in a SO, Arizona in OT, Carolina in regulation, Toronto in a SO, and NJ is regulation. 12 possible points, and they got 3. If they had just broken even, with 6 points in 6 games, it's a different story, let alone with 8 or 9 points in those games. Too many tough games on the schedule to be losing points to the worst teams.

The OT was awful, agree that Sutter can't put his (worst/slow defenders) in those situations.

Toffoli not seeing martin, Carter flubbing the pass (receiving, then trying to recover) Greene leaving his area of responsibility Without the PUCK (a huge no-no for a defender).

Fundamental hockey butchered. I bet that kind of play pisses Sutter off to no end.

It is what it is, the Kings have had a lot of lapses like that all season, for whatever reason(and they keep making them).

Plenty of folks pointed that out(when those losses happened), I agree 100%.

Calgary & Kings - polar opposites.

Calgary with the rope-a-dope with precise counter punches

Kings with all out attack with wild monster roundhouses opening them up for a one punch KO

Muzzin was playoff Muzzin tonight, ended up a -1 for the game.

Poor guy. Haha.

Nick Shore was a Beast tonight., the fourth line continues to play well. Third line is still an offensive black hole now going on 20+ games.

Great game to watch. Terrible OT, but it was a well played game all around by both teams. Playoff intensity.

Rough!

And that's the stinky part--everyone played a hell of a game for the most part. All it takes is one breakdown when you can't finish.

This season is gonna be a photo finish. It'll be tough, but enjoy it, because these are all playoff games.
