Has Mike Sullivan Been Fired yet

Yeah, they've been fairly obsessed with Sullivan. But I don't know that would prompt a meeting immediately after a game.

It's just odd. The Pens don't play until Friday. WBS doesn't play until Friday, either, so it's not like there is any urgency to meet to recall players.

Maybe something significant with McGroarty's injury that required an immediate update?
 
Yohe wrote that neither Crosby nor Rust were available after the game, either. That's exceptionally rare for Crosby, who is available after nearly every game. Rust is pretty accommodating, too.

So Sullivan, Crosby, and Rust weren't available after an easy 5-0 win.

Either something significant is happening behind the scenes, or it's something completely innocent like a Make a Wish visit that was time sensitive or something.

Honestly, I just want them to lose in regulation regardless of how. But I'd prefer not to have to sweat it out.

Just lose in REG. To hell with the points.
 
The more I think about it, the more I wonder if Sullivan to the Rangers this summer is something that might actually happen. They're 100% firing Laviolette as soon as the season's over, and Sully seems to be universally sought after so I wouldn't be surprised if there's some talk going on behind closed doors. Especially if there's some compensation coming back--which I still don't know if that's a thing anymore. :laugh:
 
Hopefully Dubas got some balls and said “look Sid and Rusty I know you love the game and want to win but we have an opportunity to land a great player to play along side for the remainder of your careers here. Winning meaningless games is not helping that as this is a top heavy draft”.

Officially, you can't trade coaches anymore per CBA

But, officially you can't negotiate with free agents before July 1, either

I'm down for a handshake deal for their 1st

How dare you…top 2-3 coach…who cares if he has 7 years of failure and counting..,it’s not his fault…the core loves him…the Pens are not here to engage in a results-oriented business and make results-oriented decisions…we’re here to make people happy and comfortable

We are 11 points (with 1 more game played to boot) behind MTL who picked up their starting goalie from waivers and have our old friend Mike Matheson playing 25 minutes a night. Sure, our roster is pretty bad but it's not 6th from bottom bad, especially with the year Rakell and Sid are having.
