Has Fanatics already given up on the NHL?

Hate to break it to you, but championship hats, in all sports, have always had the logos just glued on. They make the hat in a generic color and template and make two sets of patches, and heat press the patch with the winning team on, since the hat is far more expensive to make than the patch. That's just how it's always done, not a fanatics innovation.
The other three in the tweet above appear to have stiching.

I know the official contract doesn't even begin for another 12 months, but its becoming increasingly hard to ignore just how poor the official player worn Draft and Championship merchandise has become over the last couple years. Lets just look at the official locker room hats of Stanley Cup Champions, which have slowly devolved to a collection of patches on hats, growing pathetically more generic by the year:

For the brand that is going to be handling everything about on-ice apparel and fan merchandise going forward, this is an incredibly worrying trend to be seeing playing out, especially as they're still charging a premium for these items.

For comparison sake with the other leagues:

Those hats all look pretty clean tbh. I'd actually wear something like that on my head.

The comparison with other leagues...that NBA hat is a f***ing ghastly abomination of a thing. What sort of "design" is that? It doesn't even fit on the hat properly. Embarrassing.

I said the exact same thing last year. The hat designs have been AWFUL the last 3 years.

Even going back before 2018, the designs were pretty good IMO

The designs used to be somewhat original and creative.

Look above.

I genuinely can't even tell if this is serious, or sarcastic trolling.

These are all so incredibly bad looking. Just busy and messy and full of ugliness.

If the Canucks ever actually won the Cup and the hats looked like this...i would very much not ever purchase or wear one of them. Under any circumstances. Man those are ugly.

I ordered a black and red Dahlin jersey once and instead of that they sent a plain black and red shirt with a goathead instead of a numbered jersey.....

I ordered two t-shirts before the playoffs since Fanatics was one of the few sites that could deliver to where I am overseas. Never owned any of their apparel before.

Opened the package and the graphics felt like they were ironed on. Washed them once and the graphics were already crumpled and started fading. It's appalling how they can screw up something as simple as a t-shirt.

But all of those hats suck.
