McDavid was under PPG in U-20 competition.
Bedard set a new record for most points (23) and assists (14) by a Canadian at a single world junior tournament. He also passed Jaromir Jagr for the most points by a player aged 18 years or younger at the U-20 tourney.
Bedard has also inked his name all over Canada’s record book in terms of world junior career numbers, putting up 36 points over 16 tournament games. He passed Eric Lindros who had 31 total in 21 career games. Bedard was able to break his record in just 14 games.

NHL generational players. The following players are there because of what they did in the NHL, not juniors. What are Ovechkin's CHL numbers? Oh, he didn't play in the CHL did he? Crazy that this even needs to be explained.

You might think that Bedard will one day join that group, but he's not there yet and, personally, I don't think he ever will be. Only time will tell for sure.
