They gave Richards the assist on the Newell goal.

Don't know what took so long, but its a 2A debut for him now.
Of the three college UDFA signings, I liked them in this order: 1A) Richards 1B) Khodorenko 5) Rueschhoff. I stand by my Richards and Khodorenko ranking, but I have to say I was really, pleasantly surprised by Rueschhoff. The big man was really moving around well and making things happen out there. Of course it's one game in an abnormal AHL environment, but still, certainly promising to start.

It is only one game but I loved how he used his big body to keep defenders away from the puck.

And Rueschhoff stepped in to stick up for Cuylle after that nasty hit.

My take away is all the recent UDFAs and ‘20 Draft picks were very good and impactful. Just as much, if not more, involved than the career AHL vets that should have the edge given their experience in the league, knowing the pace. Its a great sign... so far. I really thought Khodorenko was the best of the UDFAs. He was everywhere in the game. Driving the net, down low, along the boards. Wherever the play was, so was Khodorenko.

any video of the fight and hit? I can't find it anywhere. I missed some of the game but caught most of the 2ed and 3rd.

Really happy to hear.

Khodorenko was my favorite of the 3 UDFAs, so it's glad to hear I wasn't totally off-base. I think Richards will have that dimensions to his game as well, and that could make things interesting in the bottom-6 in a season or so.

How is the D lining up?

To start, it was:
LoVerde-Schneider Reunanen-Raddysh Crawley-Giuttari

FYI, per pack site, Team | Hartford Wolf Pack
D corps also includes
Geertsen (AHL Pack contract), Jeff Taylor (ECHL contract, loaned to HWP)
and Patrick Sieloff (NHL UFA)

no announcements yet about Pack actually signing JT or PS (or Dmowski)
TheAHL.com | The American Hockey League

I presume clock ticking on Dmowski tryout,
and that Sieloff must have an agreement to be publicly listed
Logistics of ECHL player (Taylor) loaned to AHL are not clear to me, might need at minimum a PTO

game tomorrow at 1pmET
at Providence, in MA, it amuses me to write that

No score after 1. Providence dominates outshooting WP 13-5. Very small arena so camera angles are limited. Looked like Barron had the best chance for Pack. Penalties on khidirenko and O’Leary. Kincaid best player for pack. Defense pairs same except Sieloff replaces Crowley. Lines Barron bridzinski Thompson, cuylle O’Leary reuschhoff, Fontaine gettinger Newell, khodirenko dmoeski Greco. On pk Barron brodzinski, Fontaine Newell, getyinger O’Leary.

1-0 pack after 2. Pack completely reverses game by dominating outshooting bruins 15-5. Two pack powerplays. Second much better than first. As JimmyG said cuylle backhand shot stopped but rebound to khodirenko who buries it. Kincaid giving up no rebounds.
