I'm glad, I appreciate Whelan's effort but I just don't think he's that good. I mentioned the other day he was a good candidate to go down but I didn't think he would because Hartford really seems to like him. Smart move.

glad that, at least to start, 5 of the 6 F's on Pack AHL deals are in Jax, only Fritz is w Pack
(Giuttari, Hillman are D on AHL deals, all 3 G are NYR-signed)
will be hoping Skinner is more than the 4th option among RHD (other RHD are ZG, Welinski, Emberson)

1-1 after 1. Shots 12-10 checkers. Charlotte dominated early but Pack played better as period went on. Brodzinski steals puck from defensemen and breaks in 2 on 0 and passes to Cuylle for a tap in. Pack have two power plays. Wilenski and Robertson running the PP and neither looked very good. Gauthier had several chances which he couldn’t bury. Pajuniemi with a couple of good defensive plays. Cuylle with good chance and a big hit.
Dominguez starts with garand as backup

Gauthier is an idiot. He is not even AHL player. Pick a different career. Hockey is not it for him

That was odd. He didn’t get into one Pre-season game. Maybe he wasn’t in shape or injured?
That Gauthier goal is what he tries every time in the NHL but he's not playing against AHL goalies.
