Curious if anyone here would like to take a stab at what our starting 18 will look like to start the year.
I’m learning towards keeping my subscription for the full year.

I’ll try D, F lines too tough. Loos like they have 20 guys going for 13-14 spots. Assuming Jones and Hajek make NYR.
Robertson Lundkvist
Henault Welinski
Scanlin/Tinordi Skinner/Emberson
I can see them dressing Tinordi as a 12th F if things get chippy

took a shot,
assumed Jones/Hajek up while Rydahl & JBrodz down
if Gauth waived and clears, thats another F ....

Cuylle Brodzinski Fritz(AHL)
Trivigno Henricksson Gettinger
Khodorenko Korczak Pajuniemi
DiGiacinto(AHL) Rydahl Rueschhoff
Rempe Edstrom Whelan(AHL)
- - - - JAX - - -
Lohin(AHL) Jordan(AHL) E.Brodzinski(AHL)

Roberston Lundkvist
Welinski Giutarri(AHL)
Tinordi Skinner
Hillman(AHL)/Scanlin Embry
- - - - JAX - - -
Martin(AHL) Henault(AHL)

well these get obsolete quickly this time of year
NYR sign F Turner Elson, likely Pack bound
age 29, with just 3 NHL games, 2 last w DRW, the other 6 years back w Flames

Im going to say Lundqvist and Gauthier are traded for picks. Othmann and Korczak back to Juniors. Sykora back to Europe or to Juniors. Without counting the AHL deals, something like:

Cuylle Brodzinski Gettinger
Trivigno Rydahl Pajuniemi
Elson Khodorenko Rueschhoff
Henriksson Edstrom Rempe

Tinodi Welinski
Robertson Emberson
Scanlin Skinner

Garand
Domingue

Center? Just looking at your potential lineup there’re all question marks after Brodzinski

I can't take another terrible season like last year... hard enough to stay awake until 1am here anyways to watch Pack games 🙄
I remember towards the end of the season you were swearing off watching the Wolfpack ever again.
Can’t blame you, those last 25 games was painful.
Glad you’re back. Should be an exciting year if we get the right mix.

Allstar GM Ryan Martin again failed to bring in a 4A forward (a la Stefan Noesen or Martin Frk) for Hartford... damn it. Why? 🥺
Free agency isn't over. I don't know who is still available, but there must be someone.

I was reaaaally livid... yes, it is a sport, but I put in more effort staying awake to 1am than 20 players put into a game.

Thanks, it is good to be back...

I can tell you Martin Frk or Stefan Noesen are not 🤣

Hartford was fine last year until the Rangers called up all of their good players.

LOL I know I'm having fun with it. Hartford also had some uneven goaltending last year. The hope is that Garand runs with it and can be groomed to be the eventual backup as soon as end of next season or 2023-24.

Ronning, 24, became a free agent this summer when the Rangers didn’t tender him a qualifying offer on his contract. The right-shot winger had spent four seasons in their system, including last year when he had 18 goals and 39 points in 69 regular season games with Hartford.

After parting ways with the Rangers, Ronning was keen on the possibility of playing for the Abbotsford Canucks. The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Ronning says there were discussions with Vancouver but joining their AHL club but it wasn’t a fit.

“They said that they wanted to develop younger players and that was going to take away ice time from someone like me,” explained Ronning, who grew up in Burnaby. “We left it at that.”

Nick Merkley to KHL

what totally incompetent asset management, by this front office,
to turn the immortal Anthony Bitetto into a mere 16 AHL games of Merks ...

btw Bitetto signed 2-way deal with Panthers,
Eliteprospects already listing him on the AHL roster ..

CJ Smith played for the Rangers at Traverse City several years ago. I was hoping the Rangers were going to sign him but he signed with Buffalo instead. He had an excellent college career at U Mass Lowell and has been a consistent high scorer in the AHL. At 27 he probably is not going to play for the Rangers but he should help with scoring at Hartford.

I found this article from Blue Shirts Bulletin that discusses Smith.

My bad. He couldn't have played at Traverse City because college players aren't allowed at the tournament. He was at the 2016 prospect camp. Seeing some of the names at the camp brings back memories.
