I guess they wanted to see Huska a few times and make sure he was up to the task. He has looked very good. So has Kinkaid. With the two of them there's no starts for Wall. The ECHL is fine for a goaltender. If anything you face more high-danger chances there than in the AHL, LOL.

Anyone realise ECHL can only dress 16 players (= 3 fwd lines, 3 D pairs, 1 extra) and 2 goalies per game?

Yep. You can see it in every game sheet. And ECHL teams can only have 20 on the roster (or at least they used to), so they can't just hoard players to sit in the press box like AHL teams. Granted, ECHL has a 3 day IR and a 7 day IR, so teams get creative juggling players to avoid having to release extra players.

The UHL used to have an EXTRA roster player and would dress 21 players a game, all the better to stock extra goons.

This Hartford defense has a long way to go... win or lose, they look sloppy out there and no one outside of Jones and Reunanen is showing any offensive ability (ok, Bitteto has 2 goals).
I know it is less than 10 games played so far and things take time, but the sloppiness and keep getting beat 1 on 1 / battles... I must admit, I was one that thought the "Golden 4", Jones, Schneider, Robertson and Skinner, plus Reunanen, were gonna set the league on fire (sort of) from the get go.

so that's one assist tonight for Hajek.

BTW on the PK Barron steals the puck from Scott Perunovich breaks in and makes a big time move that impressed the Springfield announcers.

He should get an assist for the tripping penalty that led to Morgan Barron's SH goal (what 1 on 1 moves on the breakaway, man...)

I mean... Robertson and Schneider weren't drafted to provide offense. Skinner IDK, but maybe.

Robertson given PP2 opportunity at beginning of year and didn't look good leading Pack to switch to Reunanen.

I've seen close to half the games and while it's only 12 games in his first pro season Robertson has disappointed me. I've seen lots of turnovers and in this game a Springfield player blew by him on the outside in the third period almost leading to a score. Hopefully he'll get more comfortable. Schneider has looked better.

I don't think Lindgren ever scored at the level that Robertson and Schneider did last year in the WHL. I thought they potentially could be better rounded players than Lindgren. That definitely has not yet happened for Robertson.

I mean if Schneider and Robertson approach 12 points in 65 games like Lindgren did his first full AHL season I wouldn’t be bothered.

Gonna be tough with Jones and Reunanen eating up all the PP time

Oh for sure and I think that position has been supported by a lot of regular wolf pack watchers.

The nice thing is that we don’t need to rush Robertson at all. There’s literally no need on that left hand side for quite some time. If he needs two full AHL years for us to see if he can think the game at a pro level they can give those to him.

It’s pretty clear Jones is closer, and Robertson has many more “cook” years left than Tarmo does.

Pack are the 3rd best PK in the AHL. They've allowed only 5 PPG, but have scored 3 SHG.
