Let's be honest guys, moving someone from Jacksonville to Hartford is no longer 'hard'

yeah i know re longer-term call-ups and reassignments

but say Schneider and Roberston were banged up
so Pack wanted to bring in Berzolla for a couple off-day practices and as insurance,
a 2-3 hour drive is quicker and allows such spontaneous moves more quickly and cheaply
or maybe i am just stuck in old-school...

I’m
Savannah announced their ECHL team yesterday, the Ghost Pirates. They're going to be owned by the same group that owns Jacksonville. Since the Rangers only have a 1-year deal with Jacksonville, it would be awesome if they inked a longer-term deal with Savannah. Brand new building opens in January very close to the riverfront historic district. Would be a really fun place to see a game.
in the Savannah historic district right now. Do you know where the arena is? I haven’t seen any sign of a new arena.

Yes I found it. It’s adjacent to historic district but not in a good part of town. I asked our tour guide about it and he turned up his nose. I guess the hope is that the arena will help rejuvenate that area.
If you google map “EnMarket Arena,” you’ll find it. So, it’s certainly not in the historic district, and it’s not walkable, but it’s a short Uber.

Greco has 6 points in 6 games. A disappointment last season, if he regains his former AHL form he'll be an asset to the Pack. He's only two seasons removed from back-to-back season of 29 and 30 goals.

Yeah he and Brodzinski are pretty consistently the best forwards for Hartford. I mean Gettinger and Barron are usually pretty good, too, but those two vets are doing what they're here to do. I guess Fritz holds the "disappointing veteran" mantle at the moment.

last summer, when Maine dumped NYR for Bruins, and NYR affiliated w Jacksonville,
there were postings, perhaps even earlier in this thread (or part XIV) that it was a "multi-year" deal,
and a related post with a grid showing all NHL affiliates which also called out more than 1 year

I don't have a solid source to site, that's just what I recall from summer ...
so your statement may be correct
It was a one year deal. I know this for a fact and a mod can contact me if needed to verify. There have been discussions of a new ECHL franchise that geographically could make sense for nyr in the future. This may be part of the short term commitment.

Pack win 5-1. Big point games for Greco and Gettinger.

Kinkaid stopped 40 of 41 and has been tremendous statistically this season for Hartford. One wonders if Georgiev struggles again if he'll be with the Rangers once more.

Dominant game, at least on the scoresheet. Kinkaid was very solid.

Re: top prospects.

1. Barron - had a fine game. Nothing super special. So damn big and hard to deal with at this level in the corners.

2. Jones - one of the most noticeable games that I've seen from him this year. Really engaged offensively. I thought he was really strong in a good way.

3. Schneider - not his best game. He's prone to making some mistakes out there. I think he needs some time to cook.

4. Robertson - he's just big and seems pretty steady already at this early stage of his pro career. Made a few nifty 5ft passes to help start the breakout. He's pretty efficient and def plays within himself. I feel like his game is translating well to this level.

5. Pujaniemi -- I wish he had just a little more strength and speed. Even at this level is not finding the time and space to get his shot off. But I like his tenacity and his intelligence out there. Drew a penalty. Just a good player. I think, if he can work on skating and strength he can play in the NHL. But because it's not nec there right now, I don't see him getting into NHL action this season barring many injuries with NYR.

6. Reunanen - I mean, I am not seeing him run around as much in his own zone and his transition game is pretty darn solid. He's always noticeable out there at this level. I think he's been more noticeable than Jones in many games, but today, Jones looked just as noticeable if not more. But I do like Reunanen at this level.

7. Skinner - He just needs time to cook. He looked decent today. He's interesting, but he's a longer cook time guy.

Why can nobody spell Keith Kinkaid's last name correctly?

Because this guy

Actually I've been watching Keith, and correcting the spelling, since '09 when I began following Union hockey

He was very solid for Union.

He and Brandon Snee (Who was incidentally a NYR draft pick) are my two favorite Union goalies.

Snee was inconsistent but like Jimmy Craig, when he was on his game you couldn't beat him.

some may recall Beach was w Pack on NYR/NHL contract briefly after the Hawks

Hack website/blog with hack “reporters”.

His apology is a waste of time. Putting aside the black cloud of the main story hanging over everything, it was bizarre that someone would get that worked up over the Rangers adding a body to Hartford. As if they traded a 1st round pick for him.

Like I said, hacks.

fake wokeness

I don't really see a problem with apologizing for the original story. The apology was over the top, but otherwise it's fine. The problem is more amateur bloggers passing themselves off as experts and insiders and regurgitating shit they see on Twitter or hear on other amateur podcasts and passing it off as undeniable fact. And those guys at that place are bad about that.
