Watching this game now on demand will post my thoughts as I go along knowing we lost.

mainly interested in Shesterkin’s game. Not a whole lot of fun to watch the rest of this roster but will keep an eye on some interesting guys. Keane Gettinger Day and Jones

Lindgren played us really tough the other night so not surprised to see him slam the door here. He’s def a AAAA guy.

10 mins in the few Laval chances are turned away easily by Shesterkin. Rebounds into the corners or eaten.

Pack about to go on second penalty kill. Dumb penalty by Ronning

really good glove save by Shesterkin early on this pk.

Still on that same pk Shesterkin makes a point blank stop puck bounces off pack dman and drops to Laval player who pokes it in.

Day with a nice chance skating laterally to find a shooting lane top circle stop no rebound

That first period was all Laval. Not a lot of shots got thru but they owned possession. Shesterkin was very good.

But no offensive pressure from the Pack.

Fontaine robbed around the 8 min mark of the second period on a break in cut to his forehand and stopped. Draws the Packs first powerplay.

That’s like the first legit chance of the period. I can count 2 maybe 3 total for the Pack almost half way thru the game

Another Pack penalty with 8 mins to go in the 2nd.

this is a very different team without Chytil. Just no offense. Expecting more from Nieves and Lettieri

3 mins to go in the 2nd fogarty strips puck behind Laval net throws it out front to Gettinger for a tap in goal makes it 1-1. Nice play by fogarty.

feels out of nowhere. Pack had really done nothing

Terrible Nieves turnover down low in their own end Nieves has to take a penalty late. Pack again way too many penalties in this one.

really tight game

12 mins to go another Pack powerplay. They’ve generated next to nothing with the man advantage against the top pk unit in the league

9 mins to go Day overskates the puck Alain goes hard to the net chips it while falling and simultaneously getting pushed into Shesterkin by Ebert. Pucks squirts thru for the go ahead goal. Certainly not a clean one

Another turnover 2 on 1 Hudon (lefty shooter) from the left side. Beats Shesterkin far glove side to make it 3-1. It’s the first goal in a while that I’ve seen best Shesterkin clean.

honestly think he wants both of these back.

Pack were an average offensive team before Chytil's departure. If someone can step up, they'll be okay. Nieves has never been more than a .5ppg guy. If Fogarty could perform like last year it would be great. Or maybe a Newell or Jones starts to settle in.

Too bad Gropp had to refuse to report. He'd probably have been the choice over Ronning. Not that Gropp is great, but if he could become like a 35-point AHL guy that would have been a big help to this team. Ah well, f*** him.

If Mika is back on Saturday and the plan is for Chytil to stay up with the team and play the 2C role, I think someone will go down. It might not even be Andersson that goes down.

Honestly, someone like Greg McKegg would be a big boost for the team. He'd have to pass waivers, but he's been a scratch for a while and if they do end up moving Strome to wing to accommodate the young centers, Haley being the scratch is more ideal than McKegg. 23 points in 31 AHL games last season. Feel like he might get claimed on waivers though.

McKegg, I feel like he's one of those guys that unless there's some team out there that's ravaged by injuries, no one would claim him. Not because he sucks or anything, just because I feel like every team has a guy like him. Who knows, though. Lesser players have been claimed.

I really really think Howden spending a month in the A to develop his game would be huge for that kid. Just like Chytil I think he’d welcome the challenge and would slot right into the top line with a Lettieri and DiG. He could really use that boost of confidence and playing time.

for me when Mika gets back your top 3 centers should be 93 72 16. Strome has played very very well in the middle.

It's very apparent that Howden has been coming on stronger in the last couple of game. Before I was strongly in the camp where he should be the one going to Hartford while Andersson should be getting a shot at a bigger role with the Rangers but now I wouldn't be against Howden staying and Lias going to AHL based on their performance in the next few games.

Another consideration is Strome. Yes he's done well at C, but Chytil effect is not only limited to 2C spot. It makes the whole line up deeper including better linemates (and potentially more minutes) for Andersson.

Anywhere I can find highlights/recaps of Wolfpack games?
Howlings.net is the place for recaps and news on Hartford. Although they cover everything in the Hartford area, and also Greenville still, for whatever reason. But there's good info there, the best reporting you'll get.

On Twitter, there's a guy, Ricky Milliner or something. He posts stuff. There's another guy, Greg Markiewicz or something, but he's a :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:er and I unfollowed him.

Also, eventually Hartford puts up highlights on their YT channel: Hartford Wolf Pack
