Had a great weekend in Ottawa, so happy the stars aligned and the Rideau canal was open for skating and the Bruins were in town. Despite the loss, Bruins fans took over the Canadian tire centre. Probably 50%, met people from all over Canada.
One thing that always sticks out to me in my trips north is.. how can you guys afford it? I noticed restaurant food was about $2-3 more plus 5% more tax. Still works out for us due to the exchange being $0.70 but when I look at the salaries, gas prices and real estate prices, wowza, you got us bean on unaffordable. It almost reminds me of Portugal but at least they have super cheap food.
Still love traveling north. I feel more at home there than most places in the USA. I really want to visit the Maritimes, especially Cape Breton.
