I used any bag I could when I was in that god awful boot for my ankle. I would wrap my foot in whatever plastic bag/trash bag I could find then slip another sock over it before strapping up the boot. Worked like a charm.

We used actual leg warmers over top of our boots in the 80s. They were fantastic for keeping the snow out when shoveling a foot or more of snow with huge drifts.

Oh no I was talking about a cast boot for an ankle injury. I use leg warmers when I shovel too 80’s did have some timeless, practical pieces
