I don't know if this was suggested or if you fixed the problem with your dishwasher but the drain hose for them is cheap plastic crap that would be the first thing to check. There is probably one screw in the top part of the dishwasher securing it into the counter. The hose is cheap and should be easily replaced with a screwdriver. If that is the problem.i',te to the party, but

I'm late to the party here but we got a $650 dishwasher once at Best Buy

It was one that someone ordered in white, came in in black which we wanted anyways..
So they took off $100

Now it was considered a floor model. They took off $100.

No box.....they took off $50

Took it with us.... they took off $50

Had a $100 rebate

Made out great

Why are we not discussing these drones?
Shoot them down. And if they're coming from and going to a ship offshore, torpedo it. Problem solved. 🙂

These drones are flying in the airspace nearby 9/11 ground zero. I'm dumbfounded as to why it is being tolerated. We twiddled our thumbs while an enemy spy balloon went across our nation before being shot down in recent years so maybe I shouldn't be so surprised.

I havent posted in awhile but I figured I should quickly pop in. I bought this to keep the kitties from attacking the (fake tree). Little girl laughs at my futile attempts to keep her and her brother safe. I don't want them chomping on the fake tree.

As long as they aren't able to bite them off, there's nothing I can do. I did tinfoil the other day and I swear they laughed at me. 🤷‍♀️

In case I'm not on here again to say it, I just want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays. May you all be blessed with good health, happiness, and love. Soak up and cherish every little moment.

Much love.
Spread some kindness this season.

I’ve stopped being so forgiving.

When people show you who they are, believe them.
Hey Kate, understanding that American policy may differ here, perhaps even state by state, a question - can one (safely) volunteer to be laid off, or would that be considered an implicit resignation and thus disqualify someone from severance?

Asking for a friend who’s definitely not me teetering on the precipice of corporate hell

I had this exact thing come up with me during the year I worked up in Canada. As an American, it threw me for a loop as I had never seen anything like it before...

Had an employee who was out for 3 months of Stress Leave. During his absence, we had a chance to temporarily promote someone into his role while he was out. The person we temp-promoted inherited a mess, but did a fantastic job and really turned things around.

When the guy came back from stress leave, we scheduled a meeting with him and his temp replacement to do a thorough turnover and update with him so he could resume his old role. During that meeting, the guy didn't take a single note and at the end of the meeting declared "Yeah, I don't think I want to come back, so I'd like a severance package instead." I almost fell out of my chair.

According to my Canadian HR people, this request wasn't out of the ordinary for them, and they recommended that I do it. For me, it was a first and there was absolutely no way I was going to agree to it. I viewed it as a resignation.

End of the day, he ended up getting 4 months severance. There's a long story behind that, and it left a bitter taste in my mouth, but it was probably the right decision. Take that for what its worth.

Do you
A) like to torture your family and put your presents under the tree as soon as you wrap them?
B) put them all out late Christmas eve

I am an A and ask them....
Wanna touch it ?
Wanna touch it?

I saw an idea once where it said wrap empty boxes and put them under the tree....
Every time the kids fight, throw one into the fireplace....
All gifts should be put out late Christmas Eve. Also kids 15 and under should have to unwrap their gifts 3-4 times in different sized boxes. I remember using like five different boxes for their game boys one year

Perpetually straddling a line between being forgiving, and enabling people who treat others like doormats.

Especially challenging this time of the year.
To me kindness is free and I’m conditioned to treat people a certain way regardless what comes back. It’s not worth it to me, those people / friends / family members are already miserable so I just chip away at them and if they soften up great, but to me it’s I how treat people that affects me way more than how they treat me. I’ve given up being prideful and stop taking offense to anything long ago
