Depending on its age Kate you may want to compare cost of fixing versus a new one.

Oh for sure. I just don't like that was the immediate jump when it might be a $99 service call and a $25 part. If it's much more than $250 all in, we'll look at it. But I'd rather wait and know that for sure. Especially 2 weeks before Christmas...plus, we're hoping to renovate our kitchen at some point relatively soon. We ended up having to replace our fridge because it died, but I'm praying the other major appliances make it to the reno.

amazon has all parts cheap

Yeah, I'm just not 100% sure of what the issue is. I thought it was the gasket, but the way this dishwasher is designed the gasket is U-shaped and doesn't hit the bottom at all, which is where the leak was.

A $99 service call?
Do you live somewhere where is still 1980 ?
That is crazy low

Typically with parts, labor you are looking at $300-$400 min.... halfway to a new one

Ha. No, we buy appliances from a local mom and pop shop vs a big box store. It's a little more expensive for the appliance but you get flat rate service calls for the life of the appliance and A+ customer service. Very, very worth it for us given we are not handy people.

I am over the moon with pride and joy today.
My youngest boy who worked his ass off for 8 years to get his PharmaD ( essentially PHD) just finished his fellowship with a local Biotech.
He received an offer today from my former company, I had absolutely nothing to do with it, to be a Senior Clinical Scientist. In his continued pursuit to treat and maybe someday cure MS.

He’s going to start at $180K with annual bonuses.

I should never have to worry about his future again. He just has to concentrate on paying off those college loans and live a nice life.

Exhausted physically, mentally, emotionally of late.

Very busy at work the last month. But, the B's are on their Western road trip and things have lightened up a bit.

Lovely day yesterday with friends. And communication with family members. On a weekly basis.

Now to deal with that supervisor,

✌️❤️
I hate to break it to you......

The good news is that my thyroid and most of my blood counts came back perfectly fine. My platelets are elevated based on the scale they use here. In Boston, they wouldn't have flagged.

At this point I am going to start taking a multivitamin with iron and B12 to see if it helps. I also have to stop my allergy shots to let my body recover.

Fatigue is for the birds.
