It is for me. If you missed the Charlie Brown Christmas special (or Rudolf, or Heat Meiser), you were SOL until next year. Same with the Wizard of Oz, and as I got a bit older the Deer Hunter.how is charlie brown still so magical after all these years
is it an age/experience/relative thing?
Not just the holiday specials but all TV series - if you missed an episode you had to wait until summer and hoped they showed a rerun. Lots of shared experiences back then, when we all watched the same show/movie at the same time, and all talked about it at school the next day.
That, and Snoopy is awesome. Who doesn't like Snoopy?

I’m really excited to show my daughter all the specials we used to watch as kids. I hope they mean as much to her as they did to us.

Yep. They billed me for it too. I paid it without arguing this time because this house had been abandoned for several years, so i wasn’t sure if the cable from the street to the house was active.Got my latest Xfinity bill and saw they charged me $100 for "professional installation" because my wifi didn't work at the new place and they had to send a guy out to the house.
Ugh.
AmenTen Commandments around Easter too.
It's kind of aggravating, mostly that it's $100 and I wasn't told that when they scheduled it. I get that he had to come out to the house and go into the crawlspace. It just seems like a lot. To me, "installation" means they never had service at the house before, and I know that's not true.Yep. They billed me for it too. Yeah i think it used to be $50 for the install instead of the hundo. They conveniently left out the service charge when i was signing up for services, but i did ask, and they did say it was 100 bucks. I made a soft attempt to have it waived but it wasn’t happening. It's kind of aggravating, mostly that it's $100 and I wasn't told that when they scheduled it. Every Christmas Eve my 45-year-old daughter insists we watch Christmas Eve on Sesame ST, Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas and White Christmas. My children are in their 20's and they still love the old Christmas specials.

My family is once again running the Kayla Noel Memorial Toy Drive in my sister’s memory. She passed away unexpectedly in 2011 one day before her 23rd birthday, just a week before Christmas, due to complications from a chronic condition. We started this drive for local Boston hospitals in her name because during one of her many hospital stays she said that’s exactly what she wanted to do at Christmas. She hoped to one day bring toys to kids who were also there during the holidays.
The first year we did this I thought we’d be lucky to get 50 toys at best. We got more than 500. Since then we’ve grown every year, donating thousands and thousands of toys to kids and families during a tough time when they need them most.
This year we’re back partnering with BMC and Shriners Children's Boston, two great hospitals very grateful for our help. If you’d like to contribute it’s super easy. Both have Amazon Wish Lists you can use (links below). Pick as many items as you like from either or both and include a note for each gift that reads “For the Kayla Noel Toy Drive.” They ship straight to the hospitals and your note lets them know to put one of our drive’s stickers on the toy.
If you donate please let me know so I can keep track and, more importantly, thank you. Some members of HFBruins have already contributed because this place is the best.
I hope our drive have our best year ever. If you know anyone who would like to participate please share this with them. Every year strangers who learn about my sister’s dream and our drive end up donating and it always really means so much to me and my family, especially my mom. I can also answer any and all questions you or anyone else has.
Thank you all so much in advance. The hospitals’ Wish Lists are belowand Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all of you.

The twins are watching Rudolph, and they are pissed that we have to watch the commercials.
Clarice is the real hero of this program

Beautiful postAfter an eight hour long interview, it would be natural to have second guesses, conflicting thoughts, and a desire to go back and change certain answers or frame things in a different way.
I can confidently say that that is not at all the case. I wore my heart on my sleeve, and answered every single question with honesty, integrity, and confidence.
It is as if every single experience in my life up until this point prepared me for this moment. So many aspects of my personal and professional journey, which made little to no sense to me at the time, now make perfect sense, all being part of God‘s beautifully intricate plan.
Every single challenge and failure pruned me in such a way to prepare me for these rigors.
Whatever happens now, I am completely at peace.
I left everything I had out there on the field.
I’m a principal grades 7 & 8. We recently joined in partnership with a high school. I’m in the running to be the principal grades 7-12.Beautiful post
sorry if I missed the full context but 8 hours? May I ask what you were interviewing for?
Doesn`t matter, all you could do is what you did, left everything on the field.
I recall hearing in a 12 Step meeting early on , totally paraphrasing and I`m sure this wasn`t the speakers quote but something like " the only true setback when falling short of a goal is not giving yourself a chance at all by not facing it head on" you have done this, congratulations whichever way things go
