On Hanifin: "For an old school guy, he’s maybe like a Rob Blake kind of guy,†a Western Conference amateur scout said. “That big, that strong can skate, can do it both ways. Just one of those big horses every good team in the league has one or more of those guys. He’s going to be one of those guys who will be a fixture for a long time you can rely on a lot and using in all situations. “

I really wanted strome but since edmonton messed up the order and eichel goes to buf then arizonas most likel picking strome.

leafs take hanifin, we can use help in any position and i don't think marner becomes a #1c

edit* may i add that we already have a marner clone by the name of nylander

Nah, I'd say they're much more likely to take Marner than Strome or Hanifin.

I'd think given that Arizona traded away Yandle at the deadline they'd look to prioritize drafting Hanifin.

But what do I know.

Yeah, who else do they got that is top pairing level after OEL? Off the top of my head I cant think of any top pairing potential prospects in their system...same goes for us, would love for them to take a forward and leave us Hanifin.

People are focused on getting the #1 C that we've needed since Sundin left but it's better to rebuild the D early on because it generally takes longer for D to mature.

Whoever we pick in the draft just equals the first puzzle piece, not the final...... I'm more than ok with Hanifan.

The TSN radio panel thinks the next best center is at #13....Marner ain't no center.

They say: Mcdavid,Eichel,Strome is a lock.

Unless they'e actually seen Arizona's internal prospect rankings, this is just pure speculation on their end.

If the Coyotes perceive Hanifin as the better player than Strome, I can't see them passing on him for the sake of drafting for a positional need.

I would assume Arizona takes Strome just because that's what we need most and things usually don't crumble in our favor.

Leafs take the BPA, except Arizona probably does too.

Yeah, I would expect the Yotes to go BPA. If they think that's Hanifin then they'll take him. The team needs both forwards and defensemen, and has a lot of quality forwards in the prospects pipeline, whereas the defensive prospect pipeline is close to empty.

Why would Arizona take Strome over Marner? Marner has connections with both Domi and Dvorak and, in my opinion, is better than Strome. I will take Marner for this poll, but assume we'll be drafting Strome IRL. Nothing wrong with Strome, would just rather have Marner.

Strome is a BIG #1 Center...They don't come around that often.
