Why would the Bruins do that when Mcavoy looks like the steal of the draft and Marchy is trending up so quickly its not funny. Maybe i dont watch Lindholm enough but thats a lot of asset going to Anahiem

Brutaly Awful value. Just cause Bruins sold low on a young stud Dman doesn't mean Ducks will to.

I don't know how that works with Anaheim's salary structure or long term plans, but the value is definitely there.

Marchand is criminally underrated. He's easily one of the best wingers in the game, and I know Anaheim is looking for more scoring.

EZ pass. Lindholm is not going anywhere and certainly not for that package.

Hampus has become one of the best Dman in the NHL over these short years. He at 21-22 is a stud #1D that will be dominant for next 10-15 years. He is what you hope Mcavoy turns to if everything works out with him.

Lindholm has already shown the skillset of a bona fide #1 Dman. He's only going to get better, he's still young and Dmen peak later and can sustain peak play well into their 30s.

Lindholm is ANAs most valuable asset in my view. Elite D don't grow on trees.

Marchand is a great player, but he's also in the last year of his deal and Anaheim would lose him next year.

Easy pass.

And Lindholm is one of the best young defensemen in the game. You don't trade one of the best young defensemen in the game for a 28 year old winger (even though he is very good) with one year left on his contract, a cap dump, and an unneeded prospect.

Terrible offer. Ducks hang up the phone and block the number.

What? That's a great offer but I can understand why the Ducks don't do it. Marchand is criminally underrated.

On another note, how are the Ducks going to be able to sign Lindholm and Rackell? Aren't they already pushing their internal budget? They seem kind of screwed, no?

I'm not saying the ducks should do it, but what more do you expect than a 35+ goal scorer, a solid top 6D and a blue chip D prospect?

Don't really see why a team would trade 22y #1, they are so damm valuable and difficult to find.

They are going to be close to cap, would guess Fowler is out.

Because the main piece is a 28 year old winger with one year left on his deal, plus we're taking a cap dump and a prospect we don't need.

Marchands skills might be underrated, but his value is overrated.

somehow a 28 year old winger fits in better with Perry and Getzlaf than a 22 age #1 no?
Not like Shea Theodore and Montour couldn't take bigger rolls in the team/make the team and just keep Fowler instead of trade him. Larsson too.

Anaheim Ducks say yes I would think.

Maybe if Doug Wilson or Dean Lombardi snuck in and had the calls to Murray forwarded to them. That's the only way a call to Anaheim would turn this proposal into a yes.

Ducks would do it if Marchand was signed for another 3-4 ears at something like 4.5 per and McAvoy was ready for this year and was 21. However if that were the case then the bruins wouldn't do it. As it stands right now not a terrible offer but Ducks say hmmm no thanks. Bruins probably don't offer it either given Marchand's chemistry with Bergeron and their obscene highness of McAvoy.

He's done that once, he's realistically a 25+ goal scorer who has one year left on his deal. Mcquaid is not that good and his cap hit is too high. And we don't need more blue chip D prospects, we already have 2 that are NHL ready,we have zero need for McAvoy

That isn't what Anaheim is getting, though.

They are getting one year of a 35+ goal scorer, a solid top 6D, and a (debatable) blue chip D prospect. I think it's more accurate to call him a very good D prospect, at this point. But also, it's a D prospect in an Anaheim prospect pool that is already deep defensively. McAvoy joins Theodore, Larsson, and Montour.
