Confirmed with Link: Hamilton going to a red team (The F1 Thread)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Ended up being a good race, actually nice to see Williams that high up the grid on sheer pace rather than it simply being a flukey shit show of a race. Feels like McLaren is going to build a huge lead early in the season in the constructors but Max could keep the drivers interesting and may even win it again.

I don't know, the only reason Max had a chance was because of the rain. In normal conditions, McLaren was lapping almost a second faster than him and had much, much better tire deg than anyone else. Reminded me a lot of the old Mercs or the RB from a couple years ago where it was all everyone else could do to just stay within DRS, the second it was broken they would drive off in the distance.

I thought Ferrari might be able to keep pace but they looked awful. RB will need Max heroics just for podiums this year from the look of it early.

RB seems to have ceded the constructor's championship already, as Liam Lawson looked like that 18-year-old draft pick who gets a few games early before going back to juniors. Just looked lost all weekend. They should have picked Tsunoda for his "red mist" weekends, if nothing else.

how long until Yuki replaces Lawson on the main team for Red Bull? I give it 4 more races at most.
If that. With McLaren looking this strong already, RB can’t let them get too far ahead for the Constructor’s.

Not that I mind much. :naughty:

oh i think RB is well aware that this year is a punt on the constructors, their car has been going backwards compared to the rest of the field since Newey announced he was leaving. Hell in reality they were having issues 2 years ago but they didn't listen to Checo because Max was destroying the rest of the field. If they had listened they'd probably be having the same level of dominance that Mercedes had going 2014-16 and in 2019 where the question was simply by how much will they win.

I'm generally a Williams guy anyway so I'm loving the start of this season.

Well, Mr Horner is getting a major wakeup call right now, with all that. Something he could use.

Also, I’m rooting hard for Sainz this year.

I just want a constant stream of irritated Leclerc-Hamilton convos with their engineers.

As for Red Bull, it probably doesn't matter who's driving the 2nd car, given that they're totally geared towards Max anyway.

Good to see Williams and Haas getting points.
