Desnosyers seems like a Hawks type pick. I doubt they make the swing at 3-4 tho.

Watched Desnoyers when Moncton played the Eagles the other night in Sydney.

To be fair, the Wildcats are a stacked team (top ranked team in the entire CHL actually, I believe).

He's a good player, just very thin at the moment (6'2, 173 I think?). Seemed good at the dot. Nothing really stood out with him during the game, though.

Not sure I would want the Hawks to take him over Hagens if it came down to it. I'm just hopeful to land Schaefer or Misa.

I still have Hagens over Misa.

Everyone is losing their shit over nothing with Hagens tbh. If you watch BC hockey you'd understand his numbers, that entire team took a huge step back offensively and completely changed into a defense first system since graduating Cutter Gauthier and Will Smith.

Perreault and Leonard didn't just magically fall off from the freshman year. Furthermore, Hagens clearly took a back seat to two kids who are two years older than him that have played together for 5 Years straight now.. couple all those factors in with Hagens being the clear better player than Misa for the prior 1.5-2 years and playing in the much tougher league and having the more projectable NHL game, while being a guaranteed center (Misa looks better on the wing) I'm taking Hagens if I'm teams like Boston, Philly or Pittsburgh. He has much higher end skill and ceiling imo.

I can see Hawks preferring Misa due to size with already having Bedard but imo Martone is the better player and fit to play with Bedard.

Long story short, I want Schaefer

Personally I think Jake Obrien is under rated ...Desnoyers is a safe ceiling forxa top six in tgec2C roke but hexakso can pkay wing and you get ax209ft pkayer.

Frondell lacks speed and that limits him transporting the puck frin d-zone thru neutral zone to o-zibe..butvomce I thebo-zone is very good on the biards ..playscto the net...shot etc..
In the d-zobe he is responsible ...buthe is more of a complimentary guy than a pkaycdrivercandvpuck transporter.. so No...

You can argue Hagebs plays against tougher competition than jjust uniors ..But while a freshman outing up a point per gane (albeit low goal totlks) is ok,more was expected of him since he
was privileged to play on the #2rated team all season and was playing 1C with Leonard and Perrault till mid January..then for some reason he got put on another line.

His size does not fit what Hawks need up front..
He did not star dominate as Celebrinni had for his team in his freshman draft season.

So at #3or#4 Hawks will either go for size (Martone or the safe sure 2C pick in Desnoyers..but ratghr Should have the balls
to realize what the ptential for Obrien is once ge fully fills out his body and adds extra explosion once he gets stringer and used to his frame that willbe..He is already 6'2+ maybe closer to 6'3 now..He should be in any top 3-5 discussion..

If Hawks do bet ion Obrien for#3 or #4 they cannot be stupid and rush him tp the NHL..let him develop his body and more maturity next seasonand work to add more speed ...he has a smooth and high stride rate but just needs more power in his lanky legs to get extra soeed.
I just love the poential for O'Brien but still a good choice no matter where he ends up in final rankings..IW..vision..playmaking ,hogh efficiency shot are all there already ..Just add the muscle to the frame and work to add more
explosion and you get a prospectcworthybofvany #3 or#4 pick ..maybeveben exceeds Misa as a opo..
Concern on Misa given very poor playoffs and hurt his team woth suspension so not even on the ice for the elimination game 5 loss to Erie.

1.Schaefer BPA
2 .Misa... elite speed skill KD loves and great regukarvseason..Havecto find out why he failed miserably inplayoff series with Erie.His usual 200 ft game and defensive game went AWOL...Did notvekevate...regressed..Still anyone can have a bad stretch of games..but his Minus totals at Evens stretched back to 6 games before regular season ended.So an issue?

3.O'Brien...bet on his fukky matured potentialnonce he develops over the next few seasons..Alreadt a top scorer intgevohl with av98 point season..But rubwaycand upside yetto getveven better..

4.Drsnoyers...a safe floor of a dependable top six 200ft 2C or 2W ...leader.. scorescimportantvhoals ..led Q with 11 GWGs...Greatvin his details.. Face off %i is high (58.3% regular season...a lotvto like but he also needs to add mass on ac173lb 6'2 frame..Lacksctopbend soedd but hisxhockey IQ makes up for it..Sjotvus very efficient but scouts say itvis not special.. What you can say about Desnoyers...good all riubdc200 ft hockey pkayer ..Sonecedgevin his game too .
Pretty safe bet if not the draftvorospect with highest offebsive ceiling.. butvyou will get good production and a high +/- at evens for sure..Safe floor but nit the higher of ceilings.
I am ok with either O'brien or Desnoyers despite lower r ankings vs other potential targets.

Another who might be a target at #3 or#4 is Eklund ...He us the libe driver not Frondell on their line..If hebinlyvwre 6'2not just 5'11..still he deniteky has the talent and buzxsaw effort combination to suggest a very god pro topbsix forward

If KD goes small again at #3or#4 then I vote Eklund over Hagebs.o

But I hope KD adds sone sizer forwards this draft.
