the only good thing about this game is that it's only 1-0 going to the third.

Why is Borowiecki allowed to mug players and get away with it this whole series?
[MOD]

Because he's a no talent hack and if the refs called him on all these plays he wouldn't have a job in the NHL.

At 0 - 1 getting hits does almost nothing. The guy needs to play in front of the net and he's not doing it for ****...

I want him to sit his ass on Anderson's face... How's that?

He's forechecking (hitting) and thus creating room for DD and Pacioretty.

We out-shot the Sens 19-6 in that period. We dominated, and besides a couple of chances the Sens got at the end there, they barely had anything the entire period.

How many of our shots were dangerous? 1?

Lol wut? Have you seen the sens threatening our zone once aside from the hits in the 2nd?

I've seen Sens flubbing a lot of opportunities, while the Habs flubbed their own. And fitting you say "aside from the hits"...as if doubling us in hits means nothing. Not a single legit quality shot that's what you want to hang your hat on? Give me one single quality scoring chance in the 2nd.

Beaulieu is a bad mother****er. Pacioretty would have been KO there.

We need a shooter on this team.

that was a 2013 playoff series period right there....and this is why the top 6 needs retooling. again not hating DD, just not what teams needs to score greasy goals on road- you can put plek in there too but to lesser extent. everything is on periphery and the PP is pure hot garbage with points taken away and our centers floating on half wall instead of creating man advantage down low. they better adjust or this is going back home 2-2. Anderson's life is being made very, very easy

Line change for 3rd period:

Chuck - Eller - DSP
Pax - Plek - Gally
DD - DLR - Weiss
...

If Max had pulled that off tho...

We just need a good Subban blast, minus the post. Lots of hockey to play and we look pretty dominant. Not backing down. Sens are trying to hit and giving up possession. It's bound to bite them at some point.

i would rather he challenge the guy, and try to shoot....he's not scoring with that move. never.

I'd bump Gallagher to the top line, DSP to the second, maybe he can open some space for Chucky and Pleks who have done next to nothing offensively all series.

Yes the sens can hit. So does the Bruins. Doesn't guarantee a win you might have noticed in the past.

What?

We are dominating this game. Running into a focused goalie who isn't barfing up 2nd chance opportunities. If we get one on Anderson, everyone breathes easier and we could rip their heart out.

If anything, our anemic PP is the elephant in the room.

...no, we're not...sure we got a lot of outside or bad angle shots in the 2nd...the Sens had the two best scoring chances (besides Gallagher missing the empty net spin-around)...we need sustained pressure in the O-zone and someone to fix that gross PP...

One post, 3 odd-man rushes, 3 open nets. Whether you like it or not, Habs are playing well, but Ottawa is the luckiest team this league has ever known. Hopefully the goals will start pouring in the 3rd.

Players that need to step it up big time

Pleky
DD
Weise
De Le Rose

Not looking like they care enough!

Someone should take Weise's 6th man award away ...
Total No-Show in this game ... a game we need some physical presence
I'm most disappointed in him

props to Gallagher and DSP for their effort so far

There is this big center whose played 8 min tonight, been mtl's best center in the series and last few playoffs yet an idiot coach doesnt like him.

Player use is the issue

That 3rd line is terrible. Weise is playing like ass and DLR looks outmatched. Eller has no one to play with. It's quite sad. He's barely playing, despite having a strong two first games. I really don't be what he needs to do for Therrien to play him.

As for the first line, I don't mind cherry picking as a strategy, but DD and Pacioretty can't both be cherry picking at the same time. It's a little much right now.

The 2nd line is the best line right now, largely because of Gallagher. Chucky and Plekanec are struggling a little.

Beaulieu is having a bad game/

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Weise/DSP
Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher
Purst - Desharnais - Weise/DSP
DLR - Mitchell - Flynn

Never thought I'd want to promote Prust or Weise, but Prust has outplayed DLR handily this series and I'm hoping Weise gets a jump start with Patches.
