The whole point of a rebuild is to stockpile talent. That doesn’t mean you have to keep every pick you trade for. There’s no point waiting for all those picks to develop if you can leverage some of them for young prospects like Dach.

I’m not saying one is better than the other, I’m saying it’s a mix of moves designed to improve your team. Giving up picks/prospects for a big talented center is a good move and I’d make it 10 out of 10 times. That doesn’t mean it will be successful 10 out of 10 times though.

You can make the right move and get the wrong outcome. Variables like injuries will come into play for example.
