Finally we may see a play I've dreamed of for a long time...
Drouin sends Suzuki in on a breakaway!

"very good passenger" is a great way to put itNah. He didn't mail it.
He had physical issues, and he's a passenger at the NHL level. Like, a very good passenger, but a passenger.
Whatever happened with Mike Hoffman, which is, absolutely nothing.
If he doesn’t dodge it and cough up the puck first.Hope Drouin gets hit so hard his skates come off
that’s certainly one of the opinions of all timeIf he doesn’t dodge it and cough up the puck first.
Honestly, I think he’s a brave and strong person for admitting his issues and I kind of feel bad picking on Drouin the hockey player.
But Drouin the Hab left everything to be desired.
If he averages 50 pts a season in his time on Mucks line that is a a failure. Anyone playing on his line should be at least putting up 70 pts.I was a big fan of Drouin and was sad to see him go. He was underappreciated here and could never live up to the expectations. Do I even need to add the emoji? He was not a favorite of Avs fans on their board earlier this season but is now on Macks line and is still pacing toward 45-50 points. I look forward to the tribute.
Each to his own. I doubt Drouin will improve a lot or that the team will evolve in a way that it would benefit from getting him back, but should it happen I wouldn't be upset. Drouin wasn't effective here but I don't resent him for it. There are a lot of players who don't work out, there aren't that many who fail because of lack of effort. Drouin had issues but I doubt he didn't try. He put up decent numbers when the team was doing well, and his scoring with Colorado isn't much different from what he did here, and he has a way better team now.
All his ex Habs' teamates liked him and are possibly very happy for him to perform that well this year.
'Amusingly' Habs will lose badly. No reasons to put Allen in goals again.I wonder which of the goalies Avs will go with, it's one of the team that should be looking for a better one with their better one injured.
Amusingly, Allen will start tonight. Hopefully, his mental at the beginning of the game is there and he's not shaky in the first 5 minutes like the last game he started..
I'm actually hoping for an Habs win tonight.
edit: Pearson skated with his teammates this morning (he's been skating in solo for a while now), which means he's on track for a return soon.
I had no idea he that account was a woman. Where has she been at? @Habs Halifax ????Habs Halifax is a woman. And we had some spicy debates going back to the 17/18 season about Drouin. A little sad she isn’t here for this one.
She was TLTQ and HabsGorgeous. She has been here for a long time. Which is why it’s concerning we haven’t heard from her.I had no idea he that account was a woman. Where has she been at? @Habs Halifax ????
That poster hasn't been here since November.I had no idea he that account was a woman. Where has she been at? @Habs Halifax ????
That was a brutal hit and was unnecessary. Credit to Drouin for getting to his feet and skating to the bench, that must have felt like getting hit by a truck.
Slam him into the f***ing boards!!!!So what? Once the game starts, you play to win and hitting Drouin should be part of the game plan.
I saw that. She is a knowledgeable poster. Hopefully she is okayThat poster hasn't been here since November.
Allen starts otherwise same lineup as Sat vs EdmSo Allen starts, and I have to assume Kovacevic is out & Barron is in. Kovy really doesn't play well against high speed teams.
Also, Valeri Nikushkin isn't playing. He joined the NHLPA assistance program today. It's really just MacKinnon & Rantanen upfront now. It should still be enough. We'll see what goaltender they start.
Clearly remember it and lost total respect for Ovi after that completely unnecessary dirty hit. That was a brutal hit and was unnecessary. If we had Xhekaj on the roster at that time he would have gone after Ovechkin. Credit to Drouin for getting to his feet and skating to the bench, that must have felt like getting hit by a truck.
I heard no change except Allen. So Allen starts, and I have to assume Kovacevic is out & Barron is in. Kovy really doesn't play well against high speed teams.

He was useless...I was a big fan of Drouin and was sad to see him go. He was underappreciated here and could never live up to the expectations. Do I even need to add the emoji?
