Would happily give up a 2nd for Jake Evans in Colorado.

K.H should never deal with AVS again, Newhook and Barron are putrid... :help:

What's the ask on J. Anderson at full salary & 50% off?

Full salary ? Future consideration.

At 50% ? I would rather keep him, instead of that, he's fine on the bottom-6.

As a fan of both teams, I would keep Evans and dont trade him except if I can solve the 2nd line center problem and as a Avs fan, I wouldnt sacrifice Cal Ritchie.

Heinemann is another guy I would target for the Avs

Montreal shouldn't move Evans and Heineman. Both are solid bottom-6 guys that we'll need for next years. We can let Evans walk neither. He just keeps getting better.

Doubt we moving Anderson unless you blow us away with offer. He's our only physical forward on small team. Has good value to us. As rebuilding team his contract no factor to us.

Heineman is solid player. Making league minimum on pace for 20 goals playing 4th line minutes. We not moving him unless you want to overpay.

Most predictable 23% shooting % heater of all time. Knew it was coming before I even checked.

You're not a Habs fan if you're trading Evans.
and youre an idiot if youre giving him more than $3M per

They have Beck and Hage coming at ELC anyway..... theres zero room to overspend on bottom 6 players.

Huston's gonna get, what, $9-10M x8 year in a few years? then theres Demidov, Reinbacher, Mailloux, the 2025 pick. Rather give up a bottom 6 than a top 6.

Having guys coming on ELC would actually make room to overspend on bottom 6 (or top 6) players.

You can also trade Evans in 2-3 years if you need the money then.

@Natey oh look a laughing emoji reply from someone who cant give a sensible argument

And what if he doesn't under perform?

I'm no seer so I can't say what he'll sign for, but I disagree than anything over 3M is idiotic.
if hes a 40-50P player every year of his contract then great.

Question is youre willing to take that chance on a guy who's having his best season in his contract year? Hes a UFA, so hes not going to settle for a 3 year contract.

How many bad examples do you need of the Habs dishing out bad UFA contracts over the years? especially bottom 6 players

40-50 points players are not going to get only 4 millions in a 100M Cap world.

Montreal would be idiotic to deal either of them.
Heinemann is not available and Evans should be re-signed
and if not, sold to the highest bidder - which will be more than a 2nd imo..

You really think a team would be dumb enough to give him more? doubt it.

Hes far from being a proven consistent 40P player as it is. He may not even get 40P this season, just a hot first half. I mean the guy has never even had 30P before.

Where did I say that?

Evans is not a 40-50 P player.

But you know you'll not get a 2nd line center for free?

If you could grab a Ritchie, Savoie, Nadeau, Moore, Kulich, Lambert kind of prospect by combining theses kinds of assets, you should at least think about it.

When do you ever see trades like this?

Where a seller manages to turn mid tier rentals into top end prospects by packaging them.

There's just not really an incentive for the team with the players you say to do that. They all have picks and lower tier prospects they can use instead

No, Those prospects aren't great. Evans on pace for 22 goals and excellent penalty kill and defense player. On cheap contract. He has high value
