I doubt they trade him but it comes down to dollars and return. You're not a Habs fan if you're trading Evans.
Evans career year remember. Just so happens in contract year??

Would happily give up a 2nd for Jake Evans in Colorado.
What's the ask on J. Anderson at full salary & 50% off?

As a fan of both teams, I would keep Evans and dont trade him except if I can solve the 2nd line center problem and as a Avs fan, I wouldnt sacrifice Cal Ritchie.
Heinemann is another guy I would target for the Avs
Doubt we moving Anderson unless you blow us away with offer. He's our only physical forward on small team. Has good value to us. As rebuilding team his contract no factor to us.What's the ask on J. Anderson at full salary & 50% off?
Heineman is solid player. Making league minimum on pace for 20 goals playing 4th line minutes. We not moving him unless you want to overpay. As a fan of both teams, I would keep Evans and dont trade him except if I can solve the 2nd line center problem and as a Avs fan, I wouldnt sacrifice Cal Ritchie.

Most predictable 23% shooting % heater of all time. Knew it was coming before I even checked.Doubt we moving Anderson unless you blow us away with offer. He's our only physical forward on small team. Has good value to us. As rebuilding team his contract no factor to us.

Yup, has a good shot. Good young player. Future 30 goal scorer, good Mid liner. Speed with sizeMost predictable 23% shooting % heater of all time. Knew it was coming before I even checked.

and youre an idiot if youre giving him more than $3M perYou're not a Habs fan if you're trading Evans.

They have Beck and Hage coming at ELC anyway..... theres zero room to overspend on bottom 6 players.
Huston's gonna get, what, $9-10M x8 year in a few years? then theres Demidov, Reinbacher, Mailloux, the 2025 pick. Rather give up a bottom 6 than a top 6.
Nah, don't think. Not interested in moving himLol.
How many times will it take for the lesson to be learned that buying into high shooting %s is not a good idea.
New RHP just dropped
With those prices... i hope you find takers, it'd be hilarious.
hes going to ask for $4M+Having guys coming on ELC would actually make room to overspend on bottom 6 (or top 6) players.
You can also trade Evans in 2-3 years if you need the money then.
hes going to ask for $4M+
if you under performs a la: Armia, Gallagher, Anderson then youre stuck with him
if hes a 40-50P player every year of his contract then great. And what if he doesn't under perform?
I'm no seer so I can't say what he'll sign for, but I disagree than anything over 3M is idiotic.
@Natey oh look a laughing emoji reply from someone who cant give a sensible argument
if hes a 40-50P player every year of his contract then great.
Question is youre willing to take that chance on a guy who's having his best season in his contract year? Hes a UFA, so hes not going to settle for a 3 year contract.
How many bad examples do you need of the Habs dishing out bad UFA contracts over the years? especially bottom 6 players
Montreal would be idiotic to deal either of them.As a fan of both teams, I would keep Evans and dont trade him except if I can solve the 2nd line center problem and as a Avs fan, I wouldnt sacrifice Cal Ritchie.

You really think a team would be dumb enough to give him more? doubt it.40-50 points players are not going to get only 4 millions in a 100M Cap world.
You really think a team would be dumb enough to give him more? doubt it.
Hes far from being a proven consistent 40P player as it is. He may not even get 40P this season, just a hot first half. I mean the guy has never even had 30P before.
Montreal would be idiotic to deal either of them.
Heinemann is not available and Evans should be re-signed
and if not, sold to the highest bidder - which will be more than a 2nd imo..
so then how much would you give him?Where did I say that?
Evans is not a 40-50 P player.
so then how much would you give him?
When do you ever see trades like this? But you know you'll not get a 2nd line center for free?
If you could grab a Ritchie, Savoie, Nadeau, Moore, Kulich, Lambert kind of prospect by combining theses kinds of assets, you should at least think about it.
