Make judicious use of the IL and the cyber world is a vastly more pleasant place. :)

I like this game tonight.

Personally, I think the Habs are very motivated to remain an undefeated NHL team and will play the Pens hard.

Last year the Habs started hot too but the difference between this year and last is that the Habs are actually looking good in their games and not just getting lucky.

Indeed. People can say what they want about their ability to defend, but outside of Letang and Maatta there is no one else that can actually transition the puck, which makes things hard on their forwards in today's NHL.

Rob Scuderi in particular is horrible right now. He's just slightly better than what Douglas Murray was offering a few years back, and everyone here remembers just how bad Douglas could be.

There is still another 2 more years on Scuderi's contract too. That and the Orpik contract will look very bad as the seasons go by.

This thread is funny. Posters go gaga after one period of fine play against a team sleeping at the wheel.

If Montreal falters in the 2nd watch this thread lite up like a freaking Christmas tree.

But....isn't it what a GDT is all about? We just talk about what we see don't we? We played a great period. Sure hope so nobody said we'd be winning the Cup based on this period.

It's their home opener no reason to sleep at the wheel. The Habs are clearly better.

I criticize when there are things to criticize... No need to be overly negative in every single instant.

It's the bipolar nature of habs fans !

I like seeing the high side sometimes.

Damn - very impressive looking. Especially for a a first period. It's a new season in many ways.

Fingers crossed that MT has taken the reigns off a little to generate more offense. Now if he could figure out the 2 years worth of suck from the PP.
