Vancouver gets two killer prospects, two solid relatively young players, a few picks and a decent prospect and a vet that can be a great locker room guy.
Montreal gets the two perfect guys at an insane cap rate that poses zero long term risk for the team leaving them enough room to even go out and add another LWer in either Marchment or McMann or Laughton to play up and down the lineup, kill penalties and shut down teams with Dannault. Next year they can run

Ultimately and importantly they keep Kapanen to keep developing and push Petey if need be (5.8 is fine for a 3C too lmao) and long term they still keep Hage and Reinbacher (and Pickford). Where I'd depart from some in the Habs world is that personally I am totally sold on Dobes and Monty has nice bounceback potential, so not a terrible guy to keep around.
After this, I'm telling the team to figure it out, that's a Stanley Cup winning team on paper, I will improve via the draft or free agency (free assets), but no more picks or prospects are going out unless it's a total robbery. I'll spend the next decade trying to build replacements for everyone by keeping all the picks and ideally contend for 2 decades+ and there are players that may be around for 15+ years like Demidov, Reinbacher, Hutson, Slaf, Kapanen, Bolduc, Guhle, Cole, Suzuki, ideally and perfectly going from this core to a new one with the next 15 years of drafting.
