Post-Game Talk: Habs lose to Oilers in OT

I only listened on the radio. It sounded like it could have gone either way.

I know the Habs haave a decent OT record but I still don't like msl's mindset for it.

Dvorak should not be on the ice. Even if he does his job, he's not going to get you the goal, or if he goes off to change, it just disrupts the flow and we are back to square one.

Just take you best offensive open ice players, throw them out there, and see what happens. A 3 on 3 is what it is...don't overthink it.

No team can compete with Bouchard-Drai-McDavid, but it doesn't mean they should just roll over and accept defeat.

Exactly. You don’t just give up and play plugs.

Beck should have been getting his minutes I'm pissed I'm f***ing pissed. This team is going nowhere.

I blame the loss in OT on MSL.

Horrible management with the lines. Just horrible. Caufield and Suzuki, your 2 best players, played like 45 seconds
 
I wish MSL would not play Matheson as much as he does. If Matheson played about 8 minutes less a game, he'd be a much better player for us. He just plays him everywhere as much as possible. Does he think he's Makar?

I'm starting to think Slaf has rocks for brains. Is this another Patrik Stefan? Guys looked really slow today. We should have been able to expose the Oilers' terrible D and worse goaltending but instead, we were hemmed in our own zone for 2 straight periods. Combined with MSL's weird ass deployments...I'm also starting to think he has rocks for brains.

Can't wait for Reinbacker to take over the #1 D role.

Yeah, this is the kind of stuff ducharme was doing in OT when the habs were something like 0-10 in 3 on 3 play.

I know the OT record is decent this year, but still, the mindset should be to live or die with your best open ice players at that point.

I mean, since he’s been up he plays around 10 minutes. I don’t think Marty wants to use him too much to start, he isn’t playing with the most defensive sound or complete game players so he isn’t throwing their line out there too much. He’ll obviously gets around 12-13 minutes, soon.

Last 2 3rd periods we really played to try our chance in OT. Those were tough to watch

It should mostly be hutson. Matheson should be in the rotation, but guhle was a decent option too, and now I think they are essentially down to two viable dmen in OT.
