Don't they have multiple PP goals called off from offside too?

Either way, it feels like a mirage.... They still don't have a QB, and I still think they have too much difficulty with entries.
I agree they don't have a proper QB, but I think this is showing a few things:
a)the PP could only stay bad for so long, but even without a proper QB there's considerably more talent available for the PP units
b)the movement and passing is improving, players are actually moving in the zone.
c)if the PP is clicking this well without a QB, it should improve even more once we do. And its not like we don't have guys in the pipeline.

The player isn't injured. Gallagher just had his skate blade break or come off. I don't see this as a player safety issue.
Anything that immobilize or semi-immobilize you half crouched on the ice without the ability to avoid contact is a big safety concern at the speed the players and the puck is moving.
