Habs Lose to Bjs in Columbus

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
Why? He’s not wrong. The team has been rebuilding for 23 of its 25 years. It’s a pathetic franchise
So he’s not wrong. And? Karma’s a bitch. Laine brought this upon himself tonight. Sometimes best to keep your mouth shut.

He’s got all these physical gifts, but the puck on his stick is like a grenade and it’s always at risk of blowing up.

1-he consistently mishandles pass receptions on the point.
2-he consistently messes up break outs. Skates gingerly out when a guy is right in back of him. Soft clearing attempts. Throws the puck up the board when it’s obvious that there’s only an opponent there. Overpasses by a mile.
3-Always covers the wrong guy or seemingly doesn’t cover anyone.
4-i could go on and on.

I don’t want him traded but it hurts my head sometimes.
You sound like a woman with Stockholm syndrome who won’t leave her crazy ass boyfriend

Well he missed a golden opportunity to shut up. But what is done is done.
People are going to make a mountain out of a molehill as usual.

There must be a better way to use Matheson? This can’t be the right way to play him.

frustrating yet entertaining game. Nice to see some offense but they have to shut that down at 4-3 or even 4-4. not having Laine made us a 1-line team again - but Evans' line continues to punch above their weight.

Dikembe looked bad, and it has a lot to do with not having a backup imo. That has to be dealt with after xmas.
ho ho ho

He’s a big boy, he’s dealt with worse.

Yeah karma is a bitch. When the Habs are making the playoffs and the Blue Jackets are spending 30% under that cap, being frugal and missing over and over again, I’ll continue laughing

He is literally Robidas's Desharnais. He is obsessed with playing him as much as possible in all situations. It's baffling.

Getting Carrier means we have another vet to play (and a defensively sound one at that) yet Matheson was still out there for the key PK in the third. Still played over 26 minutes. In no world should Mike Matheson see the ice that much in a close game.

Remove him from the PK and stop overplaying him when he's ass would be a good start.

But there is nobody on the team who can babysit him when he has his "worst game ever" every 5ish games. It's a pattern, so there is clearly something related to it and it could be easily managed...

But this game showed that not resting your goalie once in a while is not a good idea. Monty already had weak legs last Saturday, he had none today.

Would've been nice for the players to go into the break with a win but the 3 game win streak was still fun.

With a much tougher schedule coming up, if the Habs want to still remain competitive they're gonna need much more offensively from the Dachook duo.

You just can't have 2/3's of your supposedly 2nd line not providing much of anything offensively so these 2 are gonna have to find a way to start contributing far more offensively here really soon.
