Gallagher on the 2nd PP is just too much to ask the fans to handle, guy has no vision, no hands and no puck protection skills, he just is a plays killer. I could live with him on a fourth line for another year, but after that he better be bought out, he represents the no skills, grind mentality of the former regime.

Meanwhile, Roy is making plays and is awaiting for his chance...

Yeah, exactly. Roy should absolutely be on that second unit. RHP should be playing with Anderson & Evans in a top 9 role.

Gallagher is a 4th liner. I'm not sure I want another year of this, but yes, we're probably stuck with it. We have to buy him out Summer 2025. There's just no question. It would be even better if he could go into LTIRetirement by our next game.

Well, they raised a banner for it, so it's still relevant to some people, apparently. It had to be weird for the current edition of the Bruins players though.

And, people make fun of Nashville's banner raising. This was an unironic self-own by the Bruins organization. At least, I got a good laugh out of it.
Next time we play in Boston they will raise a banner in honour of tonight's game :)

Except that a blowout in a hated rival’s building is not just another loss.

The pre-game banner ceremony was classless.

It was humiliating end to end, even if it is expected that a rebuilding team will have these kinds of outcomes by definition.
As you mention, the outcome of tonight's game wasn't entirely surprising, considering the significant disparity in skill between the two teams. The Bruins and their fanbase shouldn't be patting themselves on the back for beating a team still in the throes of a rebuilding phase., but If they are, as I'm sure they are, they are as deluded as their pre-game ceremony was ridiculous - let's revisit a hockey game between the two teams in a couple of years., and see how that turns out then.

As far as humiliation is concerned, frankly, I felt more humiliated in the loss against Ottawa (and I am still seething), a team we should have beaten, then in tonight's matchup. If fact, maybe the habs can learn something from tonight's game.

I don't like the current direction of the team, but what do I know. Blown out the past two games, little to no in game adjustments by coaching staff. Best players are invisible (for the most part). I guess it's just easier to pretend injuries and rebuild mumbo is to blame.

I watched the first and then every time I flipped back Boston was scoring. :help:
My only post in the GDT was a derogatory remark on our pathetic defensive posture.
We are continually allowing players to blast up the center of the ice and then blast a shot while going full speed.
How did that work out for Sam. Game done.

I came home earlier and thought I’d catch up the third period. Turn in just as Gallagher f***ed it up and Pasta scored the 6th bruins goal. I had a pleasant day and didn’t want to spoilt it so I immediately turned it off. Second good decision today.

MSL has got to go. The roster is not good but they are not executing the most basic hockey plays. Even a shitty roster can play decent hockey if they are playing a solid system as a unit. MSL and his clowns have no clue and neither does Hughes if he thinks that playing this whatever it is they are playing is helping anyone.

Vancouver was going nowhere until they got Tocchet. Coaching changes a lot. Like a LOT. MSL is clueless soundbites machine.

I take it you didn't have a good feeling going into this one. :sarcasm:

In particularly.

So Habs have decent defense prospects. What about forwards? Habs have 4 1/2 decent forwards. Not a single one you'd call a star. They have another 8-9 that at best can be on the 4th line. At what point are we going to be seeing resembling a contender like roster? 10 years? That's longer than Bergevin's plan, given that almost 3 already passed.

I'm pretty sure most guys here knew last summer this team was/is, at best, a bottom 10 team. That was before Dach (and Newhook) got injured. What do you expect?

Not that I enjoy the team losing, I don't of course, but people that think we don't need to tank and draft Bedard/Celebrini type of guys are delusional.

We. Have. No. High end. Talent.
We. Suck.

We had a chance to get high end talent - Michkov. And we got another defenseman. So all that talk about drafting high is moot. Hughes ain't got it.
