I hope it's clear to many posters that this team must tank and sell at the deadline to accumulate better picks/prospects. Winning and getting a worse draft selection is detrimental to this team right now. At this stage, there are some great forwards to pick if we finish bottom 7, and that should be our only goal.

On one hand, all the games in the last week probably caught up to them in the third period.

On the other, it's a reminder there is still a long way to go, they beat some good teams lately but the goaltender can't stand on his head every night.

Can still play with some pride instead of looking like pansies out there against a hated rival.

Worst game of the year, a total defensive mess. When the goalie is not the best player, this team strugles a lot. Remember goalies have 10 stolen games this year according to advanced stats. With a performance like Montembeault gave us tonight, we see how weak the team is. Suzuki is so soft lately, Gallagher is a freakin bullet, unable to follow the speed of the game. The only excuse is that it was their fourth game in six days.

Is it a coachihng thing? How would y'all describe MSL? I thought he showed promise last season. Tuned in a bit and haven't watched much of the habs, but wondering what y'all feel like are the issues here, outside of obvious roster needs. Or is it simply just not enough pieces.

The team is a bag of asses and was playing for .511P% until last Wednesday. They got blown out tonight because it is going to happen here and there.

Montreal has given up 15 goals in their last 2 games. Two really bad losses after some good games.

Caufield's goal was nice. At least he's back. Slafkovsky was great on that play.

Beautiful pass by Roy to Armia on Army's goal.

Great play by RHP on Gallagher's goal.

Kids are alright. They're growing. The vets are complete shit. Gallagher is becoming a big problem. He's at best a 4th line forward, and he's quickly closing in on not being an NHL level player at all, but he keeps getting chances & minutes he shouldn't get.

They get a couple of days rest then play Ottawa again on Tuesday. Then St. Patrick rolls into town on Thursday. It'll be an interesting week.

I kinda hope this was Jordan Harris's last game as a Hab. You can't be that inept at the physicality element of the game unless you bring some serious defense and/or offense and/or transition skills, and Harris brings absolutely neither of these at anything else but barely adequate.
