Just a thought, but there are lots of posts saying play the scrubs, no injuries please etc.
Maybe Nylander is doing this: saving himself for the playoffs? He's just not as aggressive as he's been the rest of the season. If he's just protecting himself for the playoffs, turns it on in the playoffs and becomes a difference maker, isn't that what we want? Wouldn't that make him a smart player?

I believe this is the case... He's likely on persevere for the post season mode tbh. I'm not too fussed just making fun  I'll be worried if he does this then

If Marner and Matthews see more than 20 minutes of ice tonight, so help me God I am going all the way down to Socitabank place and slapping the hell out of Keefe, Will Smith style.
Would kind of make you a social outcast and weirdo... Just do it Dexter's laboratory style

I replied to your post and should have prefaced I know you were just being tongue and cheek as I am familiar with your posting style, it was just the last post so I used it

Regular season doesn't matter, especially when nothing changes whether they win or lose.

It would be nice to see some positive sign, but would it matter what he does tonight?
"He's completely checked out."
"It was only against an AHL team."

Depends on whether he's hurt vs. pouty vs. lazy (or combo thereof)

Jarkrok with a rest?
Better 1st line
Brodie played 25 mini last game..gives Liljegren and Gustafsson another game to fix their games.
See if ROR can get those other boys moving.
Simmonds curtain call: goal-assist-fight

No word on Murray or Woll yet…no Murray on lines tweet. Cap games are afoot.

Don’t know why Tavares isn’t getting a rest day yet. Maybe Keefe is hoping weak competition will see him pot a goal or two to build confidence then he can rest him. Not bad in theory, tonight should be a stat padding night that sees Matthews and Nylander hit or close in on 40 goals and Marner hit or close in on 30 goals and close in on 100 points. But we know how Montreal likes to play us so tonight may be closer than it has any right to be. Though with how injured the Habs are effort might not matter.

If he back checks and plays positional hockey, but is less engaged in puck battles, in good with that

Everyone will get a rest I would think in these 4 games
