Cmon guys, it's kind of lame that you're all ganging up on Pyretta like that. She's allowed to have her opinion on a player. It's not like she's the only poster with an irrational hate on certain players.

She's allowed to have her opinion and others are allowed to call her out on it (although namecalling is immature and lame).

No offense to you but this post makes little sense.

DD had 4 shots on goal and the game winner. Tied for most shots for the Habs with Gally and PK.

DD cups is getting a lot more hate than he deserves. Him and gallagher are trying at least. Its paciorretty that is just skating around not looking particulary interested in the game of hockey.

Something needs to be done about Bourque though.

I would sit him for a bit. Maybe that will light some fire under him! Or it would give us an effective 3rd line. ;) I would love to see Sekac-Eller-Weise as a line, I feel like they could provide speed and solid 2 way play.

Get over it, come on. We won. This is a miracle.

But we can only stack so much on DD's line.

You're overplaying this. Once they got their goal, they played a very safe game, hoping for a break, which they almost got. Their safe game cost them in the end. Hardly a miracle.

Let's stash him on the third line until the playoffs. Oh wait.

I do think he's holding the line back from providing tertiary scoring. He doesn't do much. He bobbled 5 or 6 simple passes again tonight. All he does his skate up and down his wing and take the occassional shot. I can forgive a little bit because he's working hard and winning board battles, but not much else.

FWIW, Eller had a terrible night also.

Something tells me the Habs didn't ice their best possible line up tonight.

Hey Whiskey, the only thing that could make your night even better right now is a Dave Stubbs article. He talks about his boyhood as a paperboy. #Pulitzer

I tried giving it a cursory glance. I just can't do it man. Stubbs would rather describe the fabric of a couch than give insight into anything he's been commissioned to write about.

Did you watch the game? Those shots were awful and his line was plain bad. Come on, be fair now. PKs shots were bad too, aside from one.

Not when she claims she's upset that the Habs won.

The Habs were 0/10 in the 2nd period. The Wings played a perfect road game to boot. And the call on Datsyuk's wondergoal - which didn't count but it was very unlucky for them.

The Habs pull off yet another miracle.

Faceoffs: Habs-37 Detroit-22
Hits: Habs-24 Detroit-16
Takeaways: Habs-6 Detroit-4
Shots: Habs-36 Detroit-28

And the Habs almost doubled the Red Wings in scoring chances, all while having more than twice as many penalties.

Give the team some credit. They outplayed Detroit in every way tonight. The only reason this was close was Howard. Detroit played a solid road game, and deserved a point. But Habs definitely deserved the win.

The miracle is that we didn't score more.

I think the Habs played an awful game and the refs didn't help. Howard was stopping everything and it looked over when Datstyuk scored that wonder-goal.

When you start every period, every power play, every overtime..sooner or later you are going to get one. :) DD's lucky..the vultures were going to be out in droves.

Interesting side note - Patch is tied for third in the league in plus-minus at +7..DD is tied for fifth with Markov at +6. DD's line isn't playing that well..yet they're not allowing many goals. Funny - they were on the ice for the only goal against tonight though.

Very true, but it is also an opinion that is hateful towards the entire team. Her hatred towards one player is more important than us winning. That is not a fan, that is just a spiteful piece of ***** that is not needed. So get lost if you prefer we lose than have her most hateful player get a point (her own words)

That's what I mean - they kept trying and still couldn't solve Howard. They looked really bad at times and entirely inefficient. The 4th line played well, the Pleks line too - Eller's line played too much I reckon. DD's line was god awful at times except for poor Gallagher.

It was a hard game to get a read on, my friends who I'm talking with now have entirely different opinions about it. Those stats don't mean too much - especially not faceoffs and hits.

To Detroit's credit, it was a totally different game going into the 3rd Montreal out played Detroit for one period, not 3 (only 15 minutes really). And yes, Howard was the difference maker for Detroit.
