Detroit sucks. Garbage team that thought they'd rule the east when they came over. Boston punished them and we own those guys...we own the east.

They were lucky to even take a point from this game. Better teams than the Wings will fall to the Habs this season.

They will fall into irrelevancy, much like their own city has fallen into the quagmire that it finds itself in now.

Very true, but it is also an opinion that is hateful towards the entire team. Her hatred towards one player is more important than us winning. That is not a fan, that is just a spiteful piece of ***** that is not needed. So get lost if you prefer we lose than have her most hateful player get a point (her own words)

Its because he's from Quebece we know...

I laughed when I saw DD-Gallagher out on the 4on4 with Markov and Gilbert.

No offense to you but this post makes little sense.

DD had 4 shots on goal and the game winner. Tied for most shots for the Habs with Gally and PK.

I don't care much about the shots. I care more about the passes missed, the bonehead decisions in the D-zone (which is usually not a flaw) and missing on what would have be and should have been easy takeaways.

As someone who is a Penguins bandwagoner when they go further than the Habs, I can say they still hold a grudge for thinking they got robbed in 2009 against the Pens, and for Crosby being caught up in the on ice celebration during the handshake.

In other words, the Red Wings fanbase is Taylor Swift.

Please translate this gibberish. What does it have to do with the game we witnessed tonight?

To be fair, I'm not fond of Sunday mornings. I know, people tell me all the time it's a one of two days I don't have to work but still, you spend the entire day dreading the next to follow; Monday.

I once was told I should jump into a pool of lava on a Sunday evening. True story. Some people. :shakehead

You get called a spiteful piece of **** and a terrible fan for:

- Felling bad whenever DD gets a point. WHICH USUALLY MEAN WE SCORED
- Felling terrible after WINNING THE FREAKKIN' GAME

Faceoffs: Habs-37 Detroit-22
Hits: Habs-24 Detroit-16
Takeaways: Habs-6 Detroit-4
Shots: Habs-36 Detroit-28

And the Habs almost doubled the Red Wings in scoring chances, all while having more than twice as many penalties.

Give the team some credit. They outplayed Detroit in every way tonight. The only reason this was close was Howard. Detroit played a solid road game, and deserved a point. But Habs definitely deserved the win.

The miracle is that we didn't score more.

The one stat (besides actual goals) that I always look for. Yeah, I agree - the miracle is we didn't score more. Howard was solid but he was lucky too.

No, you're getting called a spiteful piece of **** because what you did is what spiteful piece of ***** do. Being upset with your team's win because a guy you don't like scored? That's pathetic in a lot of ways. Never heard of that.

While I was leaving the Bell Centre, Brisebois was just standing on the corner, by himself, with his hands on his hips, looking up at the entrance and smiling.

Detroit played a very aggressive game against us on the forecheck and standing up our players at the blue line. That's why we had so many offsides.

The Wings are able to make a lot of lines/players look bad with their pressure game. Credit to the Habs for battling through it and pulling out a win.

That's what I mean - they kept trying and still couldn't solve Howard. They looked really bad at times and entirely inefficient. The 4th line played well, the Pleks line too - Eller's line played too much I reckon. DD's line was god awful at times except for poor Gallagher.

It was a hard game to get a read on, my friends who I'm talking with now have entirely different opinions about it. Those stats don't mean too much - especially not faceoffs and hits.

You might be right. But the more categories we lead in, aside from maybe blocked shots, is usually a good sign. I personally think the Habs dominated the third period, and were the better team overall. Scoring chances are the best indicator of who was the better team tonight, in my opinion.
