It's hard to gauge where his influence comes in and where it's just the innate talent acquired over the years. I realize it's not fair to him but he was pretty brutal at times during the season, and he was completely ineffective in last year's fiasco of a playoff series.
I'm not saying he doesn't deserve credit but the dust needs to settle a bit before we can assess just how good he was. Tonight will be a key moment actually - aside from last game tonight will be the only time our backs are on the wall - so let's see how the team plays, shall we?

This game will dictate the dedication of young hockey players worldwide, watching the speed, stickhandling, shooting, awareness to defensive responsibilities. In general, all of the prerequisite talents necessary to becoming a professional hockey player in the future.
From the time the players in today's game, started to gain interest in hockey, until the puckdrop tonight will all be for this very momentous game. Every simple facet they worked on perfecting, will come into play tonight in a fierce struggle, one which will culminate on the better prepared team, being victorious!
Some players may never taste the sweetness of a Stanley Cup Championship, this game could be the closest they ever come, so leaving the game knowing they gave their all, may have to suffice.
