Post-Game Talk: Habs beat the Vancouver Petterssons

  • Xenforo Cloud is doing server maintenance Thurdsay 13th at 9 AM GMT. Downtime is to be expected during the process. Server changes were implemented recently to cope with the traffic surge last week. This seems to be affecting the user login, so please anyone experiencing this, log out and clear the browser cache. We expect to have this issue solved once the maintenance is complete.

Stop turtling when you have the lead boys

First line carries us again ! What a night for them

Closer than I'd like but great to get a regulation win.

Slafkovsky showing how his impact on the game is not always flashy, but its skilled and smart. Those three have great chemistry. It feels like they're sharing the puck carrying with Slafkovsky more and I think that is when they are at their best.

Monty was good. Can't blame him for either goal.

First line was on a mission tonight, fantastic showing by them tonight.

The rest of the game was God awful.

A huge 2 points nontheless, boys just continue to hang around in this seemingly unlikely playoff push.

Good for them.
If Demidov comes as advertised it's going to be massive for us. He should give us a dangerous 2nd line which would be huge considering how much of a non factor our 2nd line's been this season.

So

The real question is, @OldCraig71 still awake?

The first line dominated every shift except maybe 2 or 3. That’s an insane performance. Monty has been sharp and then soft as f*** as soon as they put traffic in front.

Hutson was good and effective

No one had a bad game, except Pezz but that’s just another day at the office for him. Oh …Chris Lee too.

I dont think this team would score a goal without Suzuki line

Also Roy sucked so bad
Why are your takes so out of touch with reality?

Roy played 13min in his first NHL game since December. He was mostly mistake free, showed poise and assertiveness with the puck, competed hard, and was not the worst player on his line.

Terrible take.

1st line was dominant tonight. Slafkovsky was beasting.

Great game by Montembeault, too. The 2 point shot goals had a ton of traffic in front of him.

I thought Roy got better as the game went along. He had a good 3rd period.

With the win Montreal jumps into 9th. 2 pts back of Columbus in WC2. We need another win tomorrow night.

Let's go, boys!!

Roy was better than useless Pezz. He made a couple of decent plays in the 3rd and got a scoring chance.

But anyway thank God our 1st line had a good game because secondary scoring is inexistant.
1st line was great. 2nd line was a mess but Roy played much better in the 3rd. Not sure why folks want to hate on a rookie but welcome to HFboards.

Regardless, we badly need a 2nd line center. Next year Demidov comes up, that'll be a big help but we need another guy there to help.
