Hopefully, Reinbacher is ok.

Taken to hospital it sounds like. Hopefully, a minor sprain, but his WC's might have just been ended.

Stupid ex-laff. Hopefully he’s okay.

I’ve been saying it for awhile he’s gonna be our pick. I actually like being at 5. I would hate the #2 pick trying to figure out who’s gonna be the best of the rest of the top 4.

5 is easy. Reinbacher’s right there and HuGo are at the podium instantly like Berghain with the Guhle pick. Ez pz

It's definitely the hockey pick. I don't see Adam Larson in this guy at all. I don't know wtf Button is talking about.

@Goldenhands is way closer with the Seider comparable. Whether he gets that good, don't know, but the potential is definitely there.
I could only catch the 3rd period, but did he even play a shift? I was looking at that big #64 and couldnt find him...

He's soft as baby shit. But what he does well is top class. I think he probably falls in the draft because of his softness, but that just makes the price better IMO. At a certain rank you should be delighted to pick him.
This is the one thing that I agree with Grant on is not wasting draft picks and development time on players who won't help you win playoff games. That is not to say that Sale can't turn out to be a strong playoff performer but the flags are very prominent and he would have to slip a long way for me to consider him.

He got injured on a low-ish hip check by Sandin and was squeezed into another player at the same time. The knee absorbed it all.

He's out and won't return, could likely miss the remainder of the tournament.

First they have to become players, of course. By the 2nd round, the NHL successfully picks 1 player in 3 (in terms of GP > 100). You really might as well start swinging for fences by the end of the first. Highest upside, most elite tool, hope for the best.

Crap, that sucks... Jiricek got a knee injury at some point last season and missed like 3 months, hopefully its not as bad...
Yeah it's unfortunate. But thanfully knee surgeries/recoveries have come a long way and are much smoother than they use to be. The issue is when there's a pattern.

Jiricek for example took a bit to return to full form but he looked awesome this season.

He was injured in the 2nd period, but, yeah, he played and looked really good too. Like really, really good.

He tried to split the D when he jumped up on offense. His left knee got sandwiched between the left-side D and Sandin's butt. Then Reinbacher twisted and fell to the ice gripping his knee.

He left the game and was apparently taken to hospital.

This issue is also less exposure to convince yourself that he’s the right pick at 5. With a great tournament, it’s far easier to sell to the fanbase.

Been on the road since Thursday and haven't seen any of the Worlds other than a bit of Canada vs Latvia from my hotel room. Has Carlsson been playing center full-time? How has he looked in the face-off dot?

I can't disagree more....Even if it might not end up that way, Fantilli is the consensus No2. There's no way Reinbacher is the easy pick at 5 with Michkov or Smith or Benson or Leonard there.

People sleep on Leonard but the kid is exactly what a playoff performer is all about.
