if only we had the chance to draft one this season. We need help with the forward group. Hope, we draft a elite forward next draft. Our defence is good.

Can’t wait to see when that midget joins the Flyers. One of the Habs big defenders hopefully Reinbacher will lay him flat. Open ice clean hit.Indeed.
Don't you wait, the horror movie is beginning soon.

Habs defence will be feared

Watch us draft another D next draft. We have better chance of wiining the lotto max than having a 100pts player in Montreal.
I hope you're right23 man roster with around $8.7M in cap space. I think Wideman plays AHL this year and he would clear waivers. Looks like Laval needs a RD.
I also think we are going to move Hoffman and Pezzetta to waivers before the season starts to get a 22 man roster (with Price on the roster and his cap)... This will allow us to place Price on LTIR after the season starts. Big deal and we can really be in position to help cap hell teams during the season if there is incentive.
Laval looks interesting:
Farrell / Andersson / Roy
Heineman / Maillet / Mesar
Mysak / Simoneau / Ylonen
Condotta / Stephens / Pitlick
Kidney
Beaudin / Mailloux
Struble / Wideman
Norlinder / Keeper
Dobes
Primeau
I hope you're right
It's early still but so many bodies and I'm curious what the management intends to do. Will they ice the best players or showcase some?I'm sure we will still try to move Hoffman out but at this point, I don't see too much negatives if he stays. Lots of guys in Laval learning with each other and also growing/maturing with each other.
I have no problem with Hoffman riding it out like Drouin did last year. Would be nice to not rip away from Laval during the season too. I'm sure there will be injuries so a few of them will get some NHL games as the season moves along but hopefully, it's 1 at a time here and there.
Laval roster needs more stability IMO.

That 4th line doesn't look too shabby, costly.but not shabby. I don't really have any issues aside from actually seeing what some of the touted players can do in the NHL in the right role, can they actually be a net positive or not. But Gorton and Hughes have yet to find the key to unshackle the handcuffs Bergy left them with.I don't think the showcase narrative works as much as we would like it too. Other teams know who Dvorak, Hoffman, Armia, Gallagher are. Cap space is also a huge issue for pretty much 75% of the teams in the NHL. Very difficult to move guys with contracts without taking one back or paying a price to do it.
I'm fine with the roster I posted. Laval looks interesting to me. I don't consider this blocking guys like Farrell or Heineman. If they produce in pre season and earn a spot (Roy and Mesar as well), then we manage it.
I hear Dvorak might not be ready to start the season. That's one open spot right there.
I have no problem with a Hoffman / Dvorak / Armia 4th line. Rather the kids play in Laval vs 4th line in the NHL.

Good thing is the eternal « depressive-voyant » have another year to enjoy it and shareWatch us draft another D next draft. We have better chance of wiining the lotto max than having a 100pts player in Montreal.
Been a long time players with any promise have had to fight vets for spots, things are looking way up.Definitely need to trade some bodies. By next year, all of Mailloux, Hutson and Reinbacher should be ready, and we’ll already have a full D corps. Gonna be interesting.
Up front there will be less hands knocking on the door, but a bunch of useless vets we won’t be able to get rid of. Roy and Heineman probably the two guys making a real push.
I very much agree with this. The kids should all play together for the entire year in Laval and build some chemistry. Roy, Slaffy, Heineman, Mesar etc.... Put them in the A and let them play as much as possible.I don't think the showcase narrative works as much as we would like it too. Other teams know who Dvorak, Hoffman, Armia, Gallagher are. Imo, the team is actually in a decent spot where we actually have some depth that allows us to be patient and put all the young players in Laval. We know guys like Armia, Hoffman et al are nothing players but we have them under contract, they are very tough to move so why not ride out another year while our kids gain so much experience playing together. If one wins out a spot or maybe we are able to move someone, fine, but no need to rush anything at this point in the rebuild.I get it. Most of us would like to have more open spots but then we also say... we have to stop rushing guys. Which is it boys and girls?
I think we have more options than we realize today.

Well he is def not a first liner but you want balanced line and chemistry, he showed he had chemistry with Suzuki last year, I see him a Burrow lite player with Suzuki Caufield, will go in the corner and in front of the net, bring some speed alsoHope RHP not playing first line minutes.
In Laval, you forgot Trudeau and Bisson-Paquette on D. And there is strong possibilities they keep Reinbacher. and or Parker-Jones.. Up front Bourque, Gignac, Abandonnato are still in the cards. I don't think Mesar, Kidney are AHL level yet.23 man roster with around $8.7M in cap space. I think Wideman plays AHL this year and he would clear waivers. Looks like Laval needs a RD.
